Another Birthday Card

Morning Everyone. Here is yet another birthday card for one of Rich's work mates. This is for Danny who is from Jamaica is the most laid back bloke you could ever meet. So I was surprised when hubby told me he was a Karate Dan. I was lucky enough to find this great image that was a free download.

I coloured it using a mixture of Copics & Promarkers. Then I found this great wall paper in one of my boxes. The Happy Birthday banner is wooden & I was give it by a local freecycler x Clare x

Me Again!!!

Yes I know I have made another card lol!! It is birthday week at Rich's work place. There are a total of 5 birthdays this month & 3 fall in a 7 day period. Tonight's card is using a sheet from CUP. It is a corner stacker but I have only used 2 layers.

I followed the sketch over at The Pixie Cottage. I like to be able to use sketches that doesn't have to be used with a stamped image.

On the inside of the card I used layer 3 from the sheet, added a rivet style effect using peel offs & added an area for a message. x Clare x

Daisy Doodles - Something Sweet

Afternoon everyone. I hope you have all escaped the snow today. I am running a little late with my post today but better late than never.
This time we would like to see Something Sweet from you. I decided to interpret this as food so I used a Xmas Pudding. There are a few photos in this post so please bear with me.

Firstly I printed off the image as A6 & coloured in using my Promarkers. I then scanned the finished image back onto my computer.

I then reduced the image in size & printed it out onto Safmat. Once I had done that I coloured in the cream again with a white Sukura Glaze pen. I then coloured over again with a normal white gel pen.

I then cut round it & stuck it onto a piece of brown card. Cut it into a tag shape, punched a hole & wrote the heating instructions on to it using a Black Sukura Glaze.

I then threaded a piece of string through the hole. I made my first ever Xmas Pudding a few weeks back & I tied a white ribbon with green Merry Christmas printed onto it round the basin. I then threaded the string through the hole of the tag & tied it on to the ribbon. x Clare x

Daisy Doodles

Hi Everyone

I just don't know where this year has gone. The roofers finally finished on the estate last week & I have to say it is going to be extremely wierd not having them here. They have been a big part of our lives for 13 months now. I did make them a huge cake before they went lol!!

Right onto our challenge this week. We want you to make a card with NO RIBBON!! Easy you think....... thats what I thought lol!!! But after some stressing & blog searching I finally sorted it.

I coloured this cute little elf with my Promarkers & layered him up with red & green card. I then added some Stickles to make him look Christmassy. I then added a 3D sentiment to finish it off x Clare x

Anything Goes With A Digi

Good Morning Everyone & welcome to another challenge over at Daisy Doodles :-) We have a nice easy one for you this week - Anything Goes With a Digi. I wanted to show you this week how versatile Miss Daisy's images are so I have created a Birthday Card using a stamp from one of her Halloween Packs.

I just think this would make a great card for a child. I coloured Frankenstein's Monster in with my Promarkers as usual. I was planning on following the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday but decided in the end to keep it CAS. The stamp is one hubby made for me (see previous post) & I stamped it using Stazon. x Clare x

Sneak Peek - Daisy Doodles

Hi Everyone

I am quite excited about my card tomorrow as I have used a sentiment stamp that my wonderful hubby has made for me using my fab stamp maker :-) I gave him the sentiment & left the rest up to him. I know it's pretty basic but we all have to start somewhere :-) Don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see the rest of the card x Clare x

Cheeky Lil Devil

Morning Everyone

Well I had a bit of a lousy week so never got my DT card done for the Daisy Doodles challenge, so I decided I would do it instead for my Free Week.

As soon as I saw this image by Jules I knew I had to have him. Isn't he just the cutest? I have coloured him with Promarkers & used the Sketch over at Cute Card Thursday. I found some old Halloween Confetti that I had & cut the letters out on my bug x Clare x

Tableau Tuesday

Hi Everyone

It is our free week over at Daisy Doodles this week & I really liked the card I came up with. I decided to go for a fairly vintage feel (at least I hope that's what I have achieved lol!!)

I kept the colour scheme fairly simple & coloured the image using my trusted Promarkers. I added some Bronze coloured organza, gold gems & the sentiment is a rub on. The butterfly is a K&Co diecut.
I followed the theme throughout the card. Using a mixture of Nesties & Punches. x Clare x

BOO!!!!!!

As there are so many Halloween challenges out there at the moment I thought I had better join in & get a card made. It also gave me chance to play with another Messy Rabbit Stamp. This time I chose Nighttime. I just love the look on his face lol!!!

I coloured him in using my Promarkers as normal :-) The papers are all Daisy & Dandelion & I just love the one with the eyes in the dark. I followed the sketch at Friday Sketch Challenge & cut the letters on my bug.

On the inside of the card I thought it would be a great idea to make a sort of window with the effect of the eyes peering in. Then I printed a sentiment to match the card. x Clare x

Kingfisher Card

Afternoon Everyone

My MIL's birthday is on Saturday so I took the opportunity to create a card using a Design House Papercrafts sheet that is now available on CUP. It has been designed by Katie Rose & is a new twist on the original Looking On sheet.
I didn't need to do much to the card, just added a couple of gems & the name.

The inside was created by cutting the image from the square & replacing it with some writing paper & adding the Kingfisher square x Clare x

Back to The Daisies

Hi Everyone

Well I am finally back among the Daisies & I have to say it is soooo good to be back :-) This week we have a fab challenge for you. The theme this week is Christopher Columbus Day so we want to see all your cards with a Boat, Shore or Relaxing Image..... I decided I would do a Xmas Card & chose the Relaxing part of the theme.

When I saw this image I just couldn't wait to use him. Isn't he cool? I coloured him in using Promarkers, then used my Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze in white to give the edge of the ice some shine. Not sure if the camera picked it up properly. I used a Snowflake embossed background & then cut out some Snowflakes from a glitter peel off sheet. Lastly I added soe Stickles to the hat & Igloo.
Here is a close up of the image.

As I embossed directly onto the card the inside automatically had the Snowflake pattern debossed. I then created a writing area. Onto this I added a laser cut edging & some more Stickles. x Clare x

A Wedding Card

I was asked to make a Wedding card this week & I decided to get out my trusted Bookatrix board. The colour scheme of the Wedding was Blue, White & Silver. I was also able to make the card extra special as the Wedding was close by so I was able to add a photo of the couple signing the Register & then run it over to the Wedding Reception a couple of hours later.

The first page I cut a frame out of a parchment sheet that I had & used a horseshoe stamp that I coloured with Promarkers. I added some silver peel offs in the corners & border peel offs down the centre spine. I added a gem to the Horseshoe & a navy organza ribbon to the top. The couple's name was printed onto Safmat & added to the card.

For the front 2 pages I again added the peel offs & I found 2 jewellery links that I tied on with ribbon to represent Wedding Rings. I then printed the Wedding details onto Safmat again & added. The frame was again cut from a Parchment sheet & this is where I added the picture of the couple. In the centre of the card I added navy organza & a mixture of blue roses & white baby's breath.

On the last page I stamped a Wedding verse onto Safmat & added a Jolee's Champagne Bottle & Glasses. Again I added the same peel offs.

Lastly I made the box. I added the navy ribbon round the edge, used roses & baby's breath & edged the acetate with peel offs. x Clare x

A Little Chance to Play

Hi Everyone

I was lucky enough to have a builder free weekend & managed to clear my head yesterday enough to sit at my desk & have a play. I have been wanting to have a go at this CUP sheet for ages. I have to say it is a tad fiddly but was really pleased I gave it a go.

Aren't they just adorable? I am hoping to get a few more things made this week for a change so make sure you drop by x Clare x

Messy Rabbit

I have finally had chance to play with one of my Messy Rabbit stamps & I am really pleased with it :-) This is the 2nd of the cards my Dad asked me to make up for him.

I started off by using the Sketch over at Sketch Saturday this week but then got distracted as it went on but I am quite happy with the result. The image was coloured using Promarkers & then adhered using Letratac. I added Distress Ink to the papers.

I continued through to the inside of the card x Clare x

A New Card

OMG!!! Where on earth has the time gone recently. Everytime I seem to catch up another week has past lol!! Well, we can finally report some progress on the roof being replaced. The scaffolding was finally up last week, but the roofers are starting on the house at the other end of the row so we will be the penultimate house to be completed.

While I have been awol I have been busy doing some fairs which have been fairly successful. I still have a few more to go yet so no relaxing until September lol!!!I do however have a card for you today.

This was made using another wonderful CUP kit. It is called butterfly garden & you can find it here I am just going to show you the pictures of the card & box today as there really is no need for explaining how it was made x Clare x

Couple of Cards

Hi Everyone

I am still really busy at the moment so I apologise for not posting many cards at the moment. I did however get a couple made yesterday. It seemed to take forever though to actually come up with an idea but when I fnally got past my mental block 2 cards seemed to come quite easily.

Both cards are made using sheets from La Pashe. I just love these Wacky Races sheets. I printed a gold square onto the cream card & then pressed out all the pieces. The only thing I needed to do then was add the black gems.

The inside was made using the large pyramid image & I cut out co-ordinating rectangles & edged them with Metallic Gold Promarker.

The second card was made using the Beetle. I added some freebie papers & an acetate sentiment. I added a gold gem. I kept the inside fairly simple.

Hope you all have a great evening x Clare x

Unfortunately this is my last month with the Ellephantastic team, & I have enjoyed the last 6 months enormously.

I thought I would make a card that was a bit different for me. I have again used an easel card but I don't usually use this type of image.

I coloured the image with Promarkers. I have used these gorgeous summery papers that I am sure I am going to run out of all too quickly. The rest of the card I have left fairly simple as I feel the papers are enough x Clare x
