Digital-Ink Co Challenge Blog DT Call

There is a brand new stamp & digi-stamp company out there called Digital-Ink Co & they are looking for some stampers to join their DT. But you will have to be quick as the deadline is on Monday 31st August at 11.59pm est. To enter the DT Call you have to display what you think are your 2 best stamped cards on your blog & send them an email. You can check out the full details at their challenge blog linked above.
So here are the 2 cards that I have decided to submit.
This first card I actually made last night for a neighbour who had forgotten a friend's Golden Wedding Anniversary. Luckily I was on hand to help her out. The stamp is an Anna Griffin Rose that I absolutely adore. I tend to use it for any occassion. I have stamped it in black Stazon onto a mushroom coloured HOTP paper. I layered this onto a cream paper that I put through my bug with my brand new impressionability. The flourish was cut from my Sizzix flower die & I added gems & a heart peel off. The flower is a mixture of a Prima Painterley Petal, a Papermania flower & a Dovecraft Jewelled Charm. The ribbons are from my stash. The paper is a K&CO paper from a stack. I have added their names in Peel offs.

I have carried the design through to the centre of my card adding another stamped rose to the left. I just added the words Golden Wedding around it. On the right I have added the K & Co paper & another flourish. I cut a scalloped oval for the message to be written on.

My second card is one I created a few weeks ago for a MAWTT/Pollycraft challenge.

I used my sharing sherbert stamp & coloured with my aqua promarkers. For further details of this card please click here.

MAWTT Challenge #10

This week over at MAWTT we have a wonderful Guest Designer called Clare. Make sure you head over to the blog & check out her first card.

Hazel has created a fantastic sketch this week with the theme of Flower Power. Unfortunately Hazel is poorly today so I have had to post the challenge up this week. Oh & don't forget to check out the prize I have donated.

Right onto my card... I met up with another of our DT this week... Heidi & I couldn't help but spend in the shop where she works so I just had to use the paper on my card.

The paper is by Magenta & is double sided so I used both sides for this card. The stamp is a freebie that I had received from Papermania & I stamped it onto some gorgeous vellum. I attached it onto my card using some bits of left over peel offs & added some gems from my stash. The Perfect Day is a sentiment from the same set as the flower. I created the large flower using three Painterley Petal flowers from Prima & a jewelled brad.

I took the papers through to the inside of the card & added another stamped image to the left side.
I hope you will all have some time this week to join in with this great challenge & have a look at the other girls DT cards too xx Clare x

MAWTT Challenge #9 Clare's Sketch

Wow we had some great entries for Heidi's Challenge last week & we have been busy looking at your blogs. Last week's winner was Crafty Clare & she has won a GD spot with us for 2 weeks.

Now onto this week's challenge. We have a brilliant sketch by Clare with the theme "Anything Goes". I was hoping to be able to submit my card into the Just Magnolia Challenge as well this week but I didn't have any internet yesterday & so missed the deadline. But never mind....... Here is my card.....I used 2 images for this card combining Tilda with her cat. I don't very often combine 2 images as I haven't had much practise doing this but I think it has come out ok. I coloured my image in using my aquas & layered onto a piece of "Static" by Crate Paper. The stripey paper is by Urban Lily & I have added 2 rose embellishments from my stash. The other 2 papers are from the " Sugared " Collection by BG. I have added 2 Prima Painterley petals with a jewelled brad. the wired flowers underneath are from my stash.... something else I've had for ages. The tag sticker & gems are also From my stash. x Clare xx

MAWTT Challenge #8 Heidi's Sketch / Pollycraft Challenge

Well another week has been & gone & we are already half way through the school holidays. Now is the time we are rushing around trying to locate school uniforms & bags etc. Luckily I am down to my last Little One (he's 12) in school as my middle one starts college this year.

This week we have to say goodbye to our DT member Lisa as she will be leaving us next week. We wish her all the best with what she goes onto next. Also this week our fab prize is for you to be Guest Designer for 2 weeks so get cardmaking. Stuck for an idea? well why not visit the DT members for a bit of inspiration xx

Right onto Heidi's sketch. She has chosen the theme "Teen Card" as an option. As I decided I wanted to use Sharing Sherbert I have entered it into the Pollycraft Challenge as well which have the theme "Buttons & Bows". I actually made this card for my sister even though she is no longer a "teen" I thought it was a great card for her.

As I said I used my Sharing Sherbert stamp which I coloured in using my Aqua Promarkers & Whisper pens (listed at the end). The papers are all from Dovecraft's Kate Knight range & these are Amethyst - Floral Prints. The bow is from my stash & I created the gems by taking star flower gems & gkuing buttons onto them. The sentiment is from my stash & layered onto some black paper from my scrap box.

I took the papers through to the inside of the card. I added a piece of white paper to write my message & using a Scrappycat flower stamp & my stazon ink pad I randomly added flowers round. x Clare xx

Well over at the ABC Challenge they have made it through the alphabet for the second time... so they are now back at the beginning again. So this week is A is for ...........Anything Goes with an added option of Animals. I decided that I would like to combine this with a sketch challenge so I headed over to A Spoon Full of Sugar & used their sketch by Camilla. I normally struggle with sketches that have multiple layers but I managed to get an idea of how to do this one fairly quickly.I have used my Pink Gem Stamp featuring Cat with a Cuppa. I have coloured him in using my new Aqua Promarker pens. I am soooo loving these. Not sure if I mentioned that the other day.....probably lol!!! I have used Pop Rocks & Honey papers by Urban Lily. The green behind cat is Basic Grey. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly & I have coloured it in with my pens. The birthday time sentiment is from the D&D diecut message set & has been layered onto a piece of BG.

I took the papers through to the inside of the card & stamped the CB sentiment stamp direct onto the BG paper. I stamped & cut out 3 more flowerpots & added them. x Clare x

Pens Used

Aqua Promarkers : Blue Prussian, Cobalt Teal, Violet Hue, Sap Green, Permanent Green, Light Sienna, Sepia, Naples Yellow

Another Sympathy Card

I have had to make another sympathy card this week but I managed to tie it in with a challenge. This is the first time I have managed to get a card made for the Allsorts blog but I am sincerely hoping it's not the last. The challenge is to use the following recipe .......... 3 flowers, 2 papers, 1 ribbon. I used a sketch that I had used before that the fabulous Rach had designed.
The blue paper is from my Cardmaker's Icy Rainbow stack. The leaf paper & red background are both from HOTP. The image is an Anna Griffin stamp that I have had from ages & I adore it. The ribbon is from my stash along with the hummingbird charm. I have added a Prima flower with a jewelled brad. The remember text is a K & Co 3d sticker.

I took the papers, ribbon & image through to the inside of the card & I am really pleased with way it has all come together. x Clare xx

Sketch Saturday... Sketch By Sandra

I needed to make a card for my S.I.L & the sketch by Sandra over at Sketch Saturday was just perfect. I can't believe it has been so long since I had popped over to the challenge blog. Anyway here is my card. The papers I used are all from my Elizabeth Brownd Hydranga Striped pad. The butterflies were cut from this paper too. The stamp is an Ornate Cross that I have in my stash. This was designed as an Easter stamp but I think it fits for a sympathy card much better. The "Thinking of You" is a peel off from my stash.I took the papers through to the inside of the card & added a rectangle that I punched the corners of with my inverse corner punch. x Clare x
