Daisy Doodles - Red & A Sentiment

Wow what a pleasant Monday morning it is from Essex. Although the cats & I are at a bit of a loss this morning as we have spent the last 2 weeks watching the tennis & now have to find something else to occupy our time again lol!!!!

This week over at Daisy Doodles we have a fab free gift for you to help you create your card. Miss Daisy has been kind enough to create a file of sentiments for you to use. So pop over to the Challenge blog & collect yours. Don't forget to let her know with a comment so she can pop over & see what you have created with it.

So onto this week's challenge. We want to see your sentiment as your focal point on your card & we want to see RED The winner this week will receive a gift voucher for the store. I have an ATC Swap that I needed to create for so I took the opportunity to combine the 2.

I used my new (yes new!!!) craft robo to cut out the ATC using a template from UKScrappers. I added some red chalk round the edge of the sentiment & layered up onto some more red card. The teddy image I found as a freebie over at the Kenny K store & coloured with promarkers. I then added a bow & rose. xx Clare x

Ellephantastic - Extra Inspiration

Hi Everyone

Was meant to have posted this up on Saturday but have had my head stuck in paperwork for the last 4 days. Looks like I am sorted on it now so normal service will be resumed. I have to say there have been a few lesson learned lol!!!

As a special inspiration the girls over at Ellephantastic have made some more DT cards for you for this month's challenge - New Beginnings!! Don't forget we are now a Monthly challenge but we will be popping up again each month with some extra inspiration.

This time we have created projects using Ellephantastic images.

I chose to make this fab champagne bottle as a 21st birthday card.

Now if you are familiar with Helen's images you will notice that normally Marley is sat on a piece of cheese, but I decided to remove him & place him on the corner of the bottle instead. Marc is a huge Man Utd supporter ( no accounting for taste I suppose lol!!!) so I used their colours on the bottle & the Utd crest on the label. xx Clare x

Open The Door Card

Hi Everyone

Wel it has been a while since I got a card made using a sheet over at CUP so I thought it was time I got some done. I just loved this sheet & it was perfect for a friend of mine who's birthday it is today.
The sheet is by Amy Cummings & uses an "Open the Door" decoupage.

Once you have opened the doors the Dog is revealed sitting in the kennel. How cute is this dog!!

I printed some extra decoupage so I had a dog spare for the inside & added the plain insert xx Clare x

My Card Finally.....DD Challenge

Hi Everyone

Here is my card that was meant to be on the blog at Daisy Doodles yesterday. You would not believe the nightmare I had trying to create it. I won't bother going in to all the gory details but needless to say I was glad when I finally finished it this afternoon!!!

The challenge this week is "Anything Goes". Nice & easy for you all :-( As you may be aware you need to use a DD image to enter this challenge but please don't let this put you off. If you visit the blog there is a link in the sidebar to a couple of freebies that you can use.

I decided to get my needle & thread out for this card & used an Erica Fortgen stencil to create the stitching pattern. I got the idea for doing this card in monochrome from the Cute Card Thursday challenge. I found this as quite a challenge. xx Clare ♥

MAWTT GD - Ring Out the Old, Ring In the New

Well we are nearly through the 1st week of January, how are the NY Resolutions holding up? I have to say I am finding mine slightly more easier than I thought I would. Not sure if I will still be saying that though in 6 month's time!

As it's the 1st Thursday of the month, that means it's time for me to make my GD card for MAWTT. They have decided this week to mark the New Year with a fab challenge - Ring Out the Old, Ring In the New. So we want to see old & new products on your cards. I have to say I found this a bit tricky as my family went to great lengths to make sure I didn't get any crafty bits for Christmas. Luckily I got some money so I treated myself lol!!!

The sponsor this week is Ladybug Crafts Ink & they are offering the winner a stamp of their choice.I have a mass of birthdays this month so I thought I would get cracking & use some of my challenge cards as cards for friends. I have used this motorbike stamp & most of the papers that I have had for a year now so that was easy enough for the Old. The New is the stripey paper which came from my MME pad. I have coloured the image with Promarkers & distressed my papers.
Don't forget you have until 8pm Wednesday 12th to get your entries in xx Clare x

Daisy Doodles - Past or Present

Good Morning Everyone. I hope you are all having a great Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK. Unfortunately reality is back tomorrow & life returns to normal. It has been a great couple of weeks though :-)

We have a new challenge for you over at Daisy Doodles. But to ease you in the challenge theme is Past or Present. You can make a new card OR you can use an old card. However please remember that your card has to use a Daisy Doodle image.

I chose to make a new card for this challenge. It is a Christmas card lol!!! I have even been good & created it on my Craft Robo!! Poor little Robbie doesn't come out to play very often but I am determind to use him a bit more this year :-)

I used a Snow Globe template that I had downloaded from UKScrappers. I put the circle that was cut out of the front of the card through my bug using my Swiss Dots folder. The Holly was from the same template. The Holly, Image & Sentiment are coloured using Promarkers. I added Stickles to the image & swiss dots. To break up the plainess of the white template I added silver peel offs round the edges.
You have until 7.00pm EST on the 16th January to enter this challenge xx Clare x

1st DT Card for 2011 - Ellephantastic Challenges

Happy New Year Everyone!!! I hope you are all buzzing & ready for a new year. For me I can't wait. I have soooo many things I want to try out this year. So how many have made Resolutions for the year? I have got my list but I'm keeping quiet about what's on the list lol!!!

So here we are with the 1st Ellephantastic Challenge of the year. Helen has done a fantastic job giving the site a facelift with new badges & a new DT. We are also changing to a MONTHLY blog with an extra challenge with Tutorial each month. This month we are being sponsored by the brilliant
Robyn's Fetish

Crafty Sentiments

Ellephantastic (Of Course!!!!)

So onto the challenge. The theme this month is "NEW BEGINNINGS" & the DT have come up with some amazing cards using Robyn's images. I chose to make a card for a New Home

I have used the Cabin image & coloured using my Promarkers. I distressed around the edge of the picture. I added a sentiment printed out on my computer & coloured this again with Distress Inks. The paper is actually from the MME Oh Christmas Tree stack but I thought it went well with the image.

Don't forget this challenge runs until 4th February. Please remember that it is only 1 entry per person. xx Clare x
