MAWTT Challenge #14 - Strictly Sparkling

Ok Girls this week over at MAWTT we want to see you all sparkling. We want glitter in your hair, we want sparkles in hubby's tea, we want bling on the kids lol!!!! Ok maybe not, but we want to see plenty of it on your cards. Hazel has come up with a fabulous sketch this week & the DT including our fabulous GD Erin have come up with some fab creations. Just click on the links in the sidebar.

Now for some bling!!!!!!!

I just couldn't resist using this glamour girl for my image this week. The decoupage is called "Going to the Ritz"... & is available here . I don't think you can get more glam than that. I have used stickles on her jewels for some sparkle. The paper was a freebie from a magazine & I have added Kanban bling to all the scallops. The ribbon is from my stock & the sentiment is a peel off from my stash.

Here is a closer look at the sentiment

I have decorated the inside of my card but it was too late last night to start setting up my photo booth so will sort it out today.

Don't forget, you don't need a blog to enter our challenges. Just click here & look in our sidebar for our email address & your card will be loaded onto the blog for you. Challenge closes at 8pm (UK time) on Weds 30th September. xx Clare x

Challenge #69 Fall into Autumn

The challenge at ASFOS is to create a card using Autumn Colours. I won last week's challenge at Pollycraft so I couldn't wait to get my hands on this digistamp. I have layered it onto BG paper & a green embossed card. The circle paper is by Urban Lily. I just adore their scrapbook papers. I added a gold ribbon & bow from my stock & added a Pepermania adhesive glitter genm to each end. The flower is made up of a Prima Painterley Petal, a Papermania flower & a sunflower from my stock.
I cut out another digistamp removing her from the book & just coloured her hair. I layered her up the same as the front of the card. I then layered the papers on the right. x Clare x

You can win this gorgeous blog candy over at Digital-Ink Co. It is open until October 18th so there is plenty of time to enter. But be warned you have to answer a question to enter so be prepared to work for it lol!!!!! x Clare x

Sorry Its Late

Due to some personal issues my card is late this week but never mind. Thanks to everyone that joined in with us last week... we had another great response to Heidi's sketch. Let's hope Clare W gets just as many xx

Clare W has chosen a gorgeous sketch this week which I know I am going to use time & time again. Her theme this week was Birthday Card. I have combine it with the Pollycraft challenge which is Black, White & one other colour.

Here is the result.....

I decided to use brown as my own other colour. Instead of using a Pollycraft image this week I decided to use a background paper. This is from the Chocolate & Blue Doodle Dreams Papers. I bugged 2strips of white card using my swiss dots folder. I had a play with the piece of black card & took a piece of sanding paper to it. Apart from it making a mess it did soften the edges of the card & give it a slight distressed look. Not half as distressed as I was at the mess it had made on my cutting mat lol!!! I coloured in Bubbles using my Aquas. I added a 2nd layer of flower above his head just to give it a bit of depth. The flower in the corner has had a brad added to it. The ribbon is from my stash & the sentiment is a D&D diecut message.

I didn't have time to decorate the inside of my card this week, but I am sure I will finish it off properly later. x Clare xx

A Spoon Full of Sugar... Challenge #68

Another birthday card for my neighbour which fitted in perfectly with the sketch for ASFOS.

I used this brilliant digistamp by Duncan Pike. If you love his images you will need to get over to see his site quick as he is retiring a lot of his images next week. I have coloured him in using my Aquas. He has been layered onto papers by Crate Paper & some new Bo Bunny. The dome stickers are from my stash. The arrow is from a journelling sheet, the lettering are BG stickers coloured with my pens & the sentiment a rub on.

I have taken the papers through to the inside of the card but kept it fairly simple as the card is for a teenage boy. x

Don't forget my Blog Candy finishes tonight. Clare xx

Nearly Missed It ....Digital- Ink Co Challenge#1

The 1st ever challenge at Digital-Ink Co finishes in half an hour & I am just about going to make it lol!!! Their challenge was brilliant as they provided a digistamp of a Poppy which was perfect as a neighbour asked me to make a birthday card for her.

I used part of Heidi's sketch from this week's MAWTT challenge as I loved using it this week. The Poppy backing paper is from one of my fave scrapbooking companies Urban Lilly. I am sending my Mum out to Oz with a shopping list when she goes next month. I layered the Poppy onto a dark green embossed card. This was then layered onto a deep red mulberry paper. The ribbon is from my stock. The D&D diecut message was also layered onto the mulberry paper. I added 3 black gems from my stash.

I cut out another digistamp & just coloured in the flowers. Again I layered this onto the dark green card. On the other side I again used the Poppy backing paper & layered the green & white paper in the centre. x Clare x

It is worth £150 but the rrp is only £29.99 plus p&P. It contains over 2500 pieces & everything is diecut. So why not pop over to my website & have a closer look. x Clare x

Christmas Time at MAWTT - Challenge 12

Well I have been able to avoid starting my Christmas cards that is until now. My lovely DT buddy Heidi decided that this week's sketch theme would be Christmas. So my 1st card of the year is done lol!!!!

Before I go on & show you this week's card I just want to say thank you for the fantastic entries for my challenge last week & there were some lovely comments about the blog & cards too. The girls & I really appreciate your feedback.

This week the lucky winner will get the chance to be Guest Designer for the next 2 weeks so why not have a go.

Now I've teased you enough here is my card for this week's challenge....

The backing paper is Snowflakes & Mittens by Rusty Pickle. I added 2 Christmas square stickers by Papermania. These have been sat in my embellishment box since I bought them last year, as I never got round to using them. The ribbon is from my stock. The snowflake is made up of 2 snowflake stickers that were in my stash. The main image is a stamp by Whipper Snapper. I so fell in love with these stamps last year & treated myself to a few Xmas ones but never really got to play with them properly. This year I intend to correct that so look out for lots more cards with this image. I coloured in with my Aqua Promarkers, details as always at the end of the post. I added White Opal liquid pearls to his eyebrows just to give them a bit of dimension & texture & what would a Christmas card be without Stardust Stickles. The sentiment again is from my stash.

Here is a close up of my image.

I have decorated the inside of the card but the light is not too good today so I will post it up as soon as I have been able to get a decent picture. xx Clare x
Here as promised is the inside of my card.

I have used one of the small square stickers on the left of my card. On the right I have used the Snowflake & Mittens paper, layered the dark green embossed paper & white paper in the centre. I have added the ribbon on the left again & used another snowflake embellishment to finish it off. x Clare xx

Stamps & Smiles SASSC31

Ha ha now this one had me reaching straight for my fave Tilda. The sketch was just perfect for her. So let's get straight on with it..........

I used a sheet of paper from my Amethyst Floral Prints. I just love these papers but this is the last sheet of this design that I had left sob!! I added a piece of lilac ribbon (yes it's lilac) & I stamped up a sentiment stamp from Cuddly Buddly using a MLP II pen. The flower effect round the edge is created using my inverted corner punch & sticking the pieces behind the circle. Love the way these come out. I added some Papermania gems in the top left corner just to stop it looking so bare.

Again I have left the inside fairly bare just bringing the bp through. x Clare xx

Pens Used:
Aqua Promarkers : Gold Ochre, Light Sienna, Sap Green, Sepia, Cobalt Teal

Pollycraft Challenge #23...Furry Friends,

Hi everyone

Well I have had a busy few days & now have a couple of posts to catch up with. This card did start out as a combo card with Pollycraft & Sketch Saturday but I wasn't happy with the way my sketch turned out so I had to move the elements around. I am determind to have another go though. So my card is now only for the Pollycraft Challenge which is to include your Furry Friends. Well I was about to do yet another cat card but then I found this gorgeous Cherry Kisses image.......

I used the papers from BG Sugared & added a flower combination of Craftworks & Papermania. The ribbon is a Papermania sticky ribbon & the sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly. I coloured Cherry Kisses with the pens listed at the bottom of this post.

I kept the inside of the card fairly plain just taking through one of the papers. xx Clare x

Woops I have just realised I also wanted to submit this card into the ABC Challenge this week which is circles. Will have to hop over there quick or I will miss the deadline. xx

Hi Everyone

We had a great response to last week's challenge & the girls loved visiting your blogs. Our prize this week is a set of perfectly clear stamps from our resident sponser Julie.

This week it's my turn for the sketch & theme. Here is the sketch...........

I would like to see some stitching on your cards. But don't panic faux stitching is allowed. Here is my card........My card is made up using a background paper from Papermania's Simply Elegant pack. I used Ann's Paper Art Pattern #a430_A. I added metal roses from my stash & the large flower is made up from a Painterley Petal, a Papermania flower & a rose from my stash. I cut the layers of decoupage from a Studiolight sheet & layered onto glittered vellum. The sentiment is from D&D Diecut messages.I took the papers through to the inside of the card & saved a layer of the dragons to put on the inside. x Clare xx
