Christmas Tree

No, you are not seeing things. This is a 2nd post for me today!! I have spent the last couple of days having some fun in my craft room. I saw this post at The Dies Have It & knew I just had to have a go :-)

The papers are from MME Wonderful Winter. Once I had them all assembled ready to stack I added Stickles to the edge. I then assembled using 2mm foam pads which just gave each layer a bit of height. x Clare x

Envelope Pocket Card 2

This is the 3rd & final card that I have made to send out to Australia. I had made a version of this a couple of weeks ago but was asked if I was willing to sell it, so here is the replacement.

The envelope was a lovely cream pearl colour & has taken on a slightly pinky look with the Distress Inks. I have again used one of the Staf Wesenbeek images & this time I added a white glitter. Peel offs have been added to the edges & Washi Tape Lace & Braiding has been added to the top.

The insert has been left fairly simple but elegant with a verse peel off in the centre & peel offs around the edges & corner. x Clare x

Old Sketch New Card

I was having a look through pictures of some old cards yesterday while trying to get some inspiration for some Xmas Cards. I came across an old sketch & decided to use it to make this card.

The decoupage is a sheet that I have had sat around for a few years now. I think I bought a pack of 10 as I knew it would be well used. I used papers from Prima & We R Memory Keepers (my new obsession lol)

I have kept the inside fairly simple but made sure it reflects the front of the card. x Clare x

Xmas By The Water

Hi Everyone
Well the Autumn weather is finally here. The leaves are changing & we had our 1st proper frost in Essex this week. So I will definately be spending a lot more cosy here in my craft room. I have started making preparations for next year's projects & I am really looking forward to the year ahead. But before that happens we have a small matter of Xmas to deal with.

I have been playing with another Staf Wesenbeek card. I am not a great kit lover & if I do buy a kit I tend to pull it apart & see what else I can come up with. This is another card that has been born from that.
I used the Sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches as my inspiration. I cut round the image, then decoupaged & added some stickles. The bell & charm I found in a drawer & added these to the washi tape lace. The sentiment is from last years Forever Friends kit.

Here is a closer look at the image.

I wanted to keep the inside fairly light as this card will be making its way out to Australia soon, so I just used the main layout with a bit more washi tape lace x Clare x

Christmas Criss Cross

I started this card a couple of weeks ago but had to put it aside to complete some other things, so yesterday I finally sat at my desk to complete it. It was one of those cards that developed as I went so it was more complicated than it should have been.

I used a tutorial from Scor Pal & adapted it for the size of card that I needed to make. Covered with Dovecraft Vintage Paper. Added peel offs, flat back pearls, ribbon & a sentiment.

The insert of the card is another card from the Staf Wesenbeek kit that I bought. I cut the back off the card, decoupaged & stickled. I cut a vellum pendant using a Sizzix Die, scored in half & backed with card to create the pull tab x Clare x

Sepia Christmas

Wow what a horrible day yesterday was but today the sun is shining brightly again :-) I have been playing with a lovely card kit at the moment & this is the 1st finished card.

I again took the tutorial from Splitcoatstampers (don't you just love their site). This time I have made a pocket envelope card. I distressed the edges using Antique Linen & Vintage Photo. I then crimped the card using a borrowed ribbler (thank you Lynne). The decoupage is from a Staf Wesenbeek kit by Pinflair & I cut the card up so I could use the image. I added 4 layers of decoupage & then added loads of Ice Stickles & Diamond Dust.

The top of the envelope was again distressed, Stickled & an organza ribbon added.

I used a Peel Off verse on the insert & added a bow using the same organza ribbon x Clare x

Double Dutch!!

I have been very naughty recently & have been treating myself to some new crafty bits & pieces to see if it will give my Mojo a kick. Well it seems to have worked!! I have managed to get a card made for some challenges :-)

I found this great Tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers for a Double Dutch Fold card. I used my new Martha Stewart Score Board which made things so much easier. Here is the card.....

I took the inspiration for the layout from the sketch over at Sketch n Stash this week. The colours were taken from this image of Candy Corn.

The mouse is an old image that was on a cd that was tucked away in a drawer. I coloured with Promarkers & edged with Distress Ink. The papers are my new obsession & are by We R Memory Keepers. I just can't get enough of them at the moment :-) I added the Happy Birthday peel off across the bottom flaps.

I just love this image & really have not used it enough so I think he may be sat on my desk for a while so I don't forget about him again.

I have used the same papers on the inside of the card. I am just loving these gorgeous Autumnal Colours. Hopefully my Mojo will stick around for a while this time x Clare x

Bit of Bling!

Wow where on earth did July & August go!! I can't believe it has been 2 months since I last blogged. I have to say in my defence I have been doing a lot of paperwork & had a few stresses happening in my personal life. I am hoping that I am now out the other side of all this now.

So today's card. Well I didn't realise it would be so hard to get back into it.
I used the Sketch at Sketch N Stash. The backing paper was the last I had of this design & I added a sheet of silver mirri card embossed with my Paisley folder. The stamp is my first attempt at the no lines technique & I am quite pleased with the result. The flourish border was a free download from Craftylicious that I coloured with Distress Inks. x Clare x

Scrapbook Page

Well I am really on a roll this week & loving every minute of it :-) Today I was deciding what to do when I came across this fortnight's sketch at Friday Sketch Challenge & it just shouted Scrapbook Page at me!! Well, I have only ever made one scrapbook page before so I thought it was time I gave it a shot again :-)

The page is one I downloaded at the weekend & used on my ATC. I  put it in to PSP & resized. I then followed the sketch over at FSC & this is how it turned out. Here is a little close up.

The 2 photos I used were originally colour, so I scanned them in to Paint Shop Pro, pressed a little button & let it do it's magic. I will hopefully see you again before next week, but I have a busy few days ahead.x Clare x

And now for something completely different............

Well as I said the other day I am experimenting a bit with my cards at the moment. Today we have gone CAS. I even got my little printer to print exactly where I wanted it to for a change :-)
I sat looking at the sketch over at TMS & I had a flash of inspiration! Doesn't happen that often I can assure you. I printed the Merry Christmas using Lucida Calligraphy Font. The bow is made from a scarf that I picked up in a pound shop. The decoration is one I have had sat around for a couple of years & refused to throw out x Clare x

Owl Love You!

Good Morning! Well I was hoping to have this card up on my blog yesterday but I had a sentiment issue. I didn't know what I wanted but knew I would know as soon as I found it!! Well I did find it but it took me 5 hours!! So it was nearly 10pm before I finished it. I think it was worth the effort though :-)

I used the sketch at Sketch N Stash as my inspiration & decided to go for a chocolate brown colour theme. I added this gorgeous Glittered Acetate from Kanban.

Here is a close up of the adorable Owl topper.

I took the layout through to the inside of the card & added the sentiment.

Spotlight Card

I am in a bit of a transitional period with my cards at the moment as I am experimenting with new products & techniques. I am normally a bit behind with these things so a lot of you will be familiar with these ideas a lot more than me lol!! I decided to try out the "Spotlight" Technique for this card. I used the tutorials over at Splitcoaststampers & High Hopes Stamps.

I followed last week's sketch over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp. I used my fave papers from Nitwit..... again lol!! I coloured the image using Promarkers. The little pegs were plain wood & I coloured them using a fab product that I am testing out called Buff it. Here is a close up of the image.

I followed the sketch through to the inside of the card & used brads to hold the corner instead of pegs.

I am hoping to get some more cards made this week but have a busy one so I may end up showing them the week after x Clare x

A Little Birdie Told Me

I needed to make a sample card for tomorrow night's craft group demo, but I got tad carried away lol!! I have to say though I am loving the colours. I am desperately trying to get away from my normal colour range & I think I am winning :-)

The image is a Pink Gem stamp & I coloured it with Promarkers. I used some freebie papers to Paper Piece the dress, bow & bird. Here is a close up.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend. Today I was at a Farmer's Market & was demonstrating with my stock. This is the card that I made.

I used a Sarah Kay Diecut Decoupage Sheet & created the card with the layout from TMS. I cut the centres with my cuttlebug. Here is a closeup of the image.

Wedding Bunnies

I hope you all had a fantastic Bank Holiday Weekend! I know ours was rather hectic but I have to say I enjoyed every minute of it :-)

I have created this card using a new decoupage sheet that I have got. It is called Wedding Bunnies & is just adorable.

I flipped the sketch that I was using & I created the image with 4 of the layers on the sheet & added stickles to the flowers. I then added 3 pearls to the corner. Here is a closeup of the image.

To create the base of the easel card I used the same sketch & added pearls to the sentiment & a flower bouquet in the corner. x Clare x

Pink, Yellow & Green

Well we have had 3 glorious days in Essex & it has inspired me to create this summery card. Normally I am not a fan of these colours but I used them recently to create labels for a Retro Sweet Bar & I think I have found my new fave combo :-)

I have used one of my favourite characters - Messy Rabbit. I coloured him with Promarkers & created this twisted easel card following the sketch from Sketch Saturday. Here is a closeup of the image.

Paris Elegance

I was meant to have blogged this last night but I was shattered when I got in from shopping, so it has had to wait until this morning. This is another family birthday card, only another 3 to go this month :-)

I have used this topper from the Everyday Essentials kit by My Paper Stash. I teamed it with Prima Botanical Papers. Here is a closeup of the image.

To make the paper ribbon across the card the toppers are bordered by printed card so I cut a strip across & added a couple of brads.

I took the inspiration of the sketch through to the inside of the card. The frame was the negative from the topper, which I cut round & layered on to white card to create the space for me to write my message. I again cut a strip of the printed card to add to the layout. x Clare x

15 Year Old Zombie!!!

QUICK RUN & HIDE!!!! The ZOMBIES ARE HERE!!! Lol!! Well I hope that woke you up!! I was askd by my lurverly son the other day to make a card for his best friend who is 15 today. So, as we all do, I asked "Soooo what is he in to?" "ZOMBIES" came the reply.........

I find this image on my computer & coloured using my Promarkers. I followed the sketch over at The Sketchy Challenges. I used a couple of Halloween freebie papers that I had downloaded. I couldn't find a piece of Hessian so I took a piece of 14 count aida, frayed the edges & then coloured with Distress Inks.

To make the RIP gravestone head I cut an ATC on my bug, embossed with my skeleton folder, inked & added a RIP using red card. x Clare x
