Flippin Birthdays!

Well we are heading in to another weekend. Hard to believe that there are only 4 weekends of 2012 left!! It has been an amazing & tragic year for the UK & I am sure it will be talked about for a few years to come.

I have managed to get all the birthday cards I needed to do in time & this is the last of them.

I have used the Flippin DIY Man stamp & coloured with Promarkers. I used the sketch from Friday Sketch Challenge. The sentiment came with the stamp set. Here is a close up of the image.

I again took the layout through to the inside of the card.

I am now hopefully going to get chance to get on with some more Xmas Cards.x Clare x

Willy The Kid

Evening everyone. OMG how cold has it been today! I have been in my craft room all day which is the warmest room in the house & I have still been cold :-(

I have spent the day making a birthday card for another of Richard's work mates. I have 1 left to do now for Monday then I will be having a mad panic on Xmas Cards lol!! Here is his card.

I have coloured the image with Promarkers & distressed the edges in Forest Green. This milk chocolate backing card I found in my scrapbook folder again. Here is a close up of the image.

Once I started putting the card together I added some light grey pearls (camera makes them look white), ribbon, button & jute. I then stamped this Pink Gem ticket stamp added to the card.

I took the layout through to the inside of the card. x Clare x

Male Elegance

Afternoon everyone. I have another Man's Card for you this afternoon. This is the 2nd of the 4 that I need to get done before Friday.

I have used the sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This one I have to say tested me a bit but I do like the end result. The image is a black & white print out so no colouring needed. The colours are simple which makes it quite elegant.

I have followed through the sketch to the inside of the card minus a couple of bits x Clare x

Jamaican Gus!

This is a busy week for me for Birthdays. 4 of Hubby's work colleagues all have their birthdays between the 3rd & 11th December!! Here is the first one for you.

This is Jamaican Gus :-) I have to say I giggled the whole time I was colouring Gus in. I have used Promarkers as usual & teamed it with a selection of bright papers that I found hidden in my scrapbook folder. I printed the "At My Age" onto Safmat & cut out.  Here is a close up of the image.

I hadn't realised until I had finished colouring that I had done his shirt in Jamaican colours. Danny is originally from Jamaica so the card went down a treat. x Clare x

I've been Published!

Good Morning Everyone. Life here at the moment is a bit crap & chaotic. I haven't had chance to make any cards this week as I have knitting orders to complete.

However, I have this card today that has featured in the online crafting magazine Creative Crafting. Click here if you want to check out how you want to make it & turn to page 23 x

Messy Rabbit

Evening Everyone. I have another card for you this evening. You will have to excuse the quality of the pics as the light is horrendous this evening.

I have used this fab Messy Rabbit stamp & coloured him using Promarkers. I have then decoupaged him up. Here is a close up of the image.

I just think he is adorable. I used Pinflair Glue so I could get a bit more of an effect with the top layer especially on his ears & collar. I have taken the sketch through to the inside of the card.

I found this great printable of sheet music through Pinterest & printed it out wallet size & distressed it. Both sides of the card are actually the same colour but the light has affected this in the photo. x Clare x

Kraft Card

Good Morning Everyone from a very wet & miserable Essex. Perfect excuse to stay warm & cosy & do some crafting.
I have finally finished a card that I started a couple of weeks ago for my Hobbycraft demo. This was the 1st time I had chance to play with Kraft Card & I have to say I love it!

I used the Molly Bloom's Christmas Carnival Stamps & Papers on the front of the card. The main image has been coloured with Promarkers & decoupaged. The pompom on his hat has been stickled. I created the ticket by masking off a Pink Gem Thank You ticket stamp so I could add my own sentiment in the centre. I then threaded some Jute through the centre of a button.

On the inside of the card I have changed the papers & created a bookmark which I have slipped into the pocket. To keep the theme running I have used the Holly stamp to add decoration. Here is close up of the bookmark.

To create the bookmark I found 2 Kraft Tags that were free with a magazine. I stamped a motorbike image in the corner of it. I coloured this with a water brush, ink pad & distress ink. I then distressed the edge of the bookmark & added a ribbon. x Clare x

Thank You Card

Well where is the time going? The weekend is nearly over yet again :-( Tomorrow my cat is going for her 1st check up after having surgery on her back so I thought I would make a card for the staff at the Veterinary Hospital that treated her.

I have used this great stamp by Whipper Snapper. I really love these stamps. It has been coloured with Promarkers. I found a fab sketch at a Challenge that I haven't visited before.

I have taken most of the sketch through to the inside of the card.

I have a few cards to get made this week so will be back to blog again soon x Clare x

Molly Bloom's

Afternoon Everyone. I hope you are all well. I had a busy day Saturday demoing at our local Hobbycraft. I was using a gorgeous kit by Molly Bloom's. I thought I would show you the projects I made. So, go & grab yourself a coffee & put your feet up while you have a look through my piccies.

The 1st projet I made was this Holly Wreath. It is a bit time consuming but well worth it when it's finished.

All the Holly leaves are stamped, then cut out & glued onto Kraft Card. I then added the button, ribbons, Jute & Bell. Lastly, I added the gems as berries.
The 2nd project I made was this tealight holder. It takes a LED tealight rather than the candle ones.

This is the view from one side. I probably could have done with a thicker wire but it just about holds it's shape.
The front view. I used the little boy stamp in the set & decoupaged him up a bit.

                              The other side

Lastly, I altered some red MDF hearts. I should have taken a before picture but didn't even think about it till now :-( Anyway here are the after pics.

I have used the papers from the kit along with some of the stamps & buttons & added my own bits & piees to them. Here is a closer look at each letter.
For the N, I added the chipboard letter, some glitter snowflakes, Ribbons, Jute & a Bell.

O, I again added the chipboard letter, & I coloured the snowflakes in with my Denim Blue Promarker. The little boy stamp was again deoupaged

Apart from the chipboard, I left this one fairly plain as the paper was busy & just added some buttons threaded with Jute.

Lastly the L. Again I added the chipboard letter, stamped & deoupaged the Angel & added 2 of the Holly Leaves stamps.

I am hoping to get chance to make some more goodies this week x Clare x

Autumn Wreath

Evening Everyone

I have hopefully scheduled this post to go out when I am at Craft Club. I have had to keep this secret as it is for a challenge I set for them tonight, but I wanted it on my blog asap too as I have to say I am rather pleased with it :-)

I have cut the orange flowers on my bug & added black flower sequins to the centres. These have then been pinned onto a polystyrene wreath.  I would say it is quick & simple like the instructions suggest but you do need a bit of patience lol!! x Clare x

Serenity

Good Morning Everyone. Hope this damp weather is encouraging you all to snuggle up warm & do some crafting :-) I have finished making a card this morning using the Pinflair Serenity Cd. It is a lovely cd & great for what I call awkward cards - Sympathy, Get Well Soon, etc.

I chose this lovely flower decoupage & used only 4 of the layers of the small flower. I loosely followed a sketch over at TMS. It was a fairly simple card to put together once I had got my head round which colour papers to use.

I took the base of the sketch through to the inside of the card. x Clare x

ATC Distress

Hi

I have been a bit awol over the last couple of weeks again but I do have a reasonable excuse...... I now have my own Craft Room yay!! I will be adding a page to show my piccies once I have done this post. I have also been back & forth to the Vets as one of my cats had to have major surgery done on her spine. She is now home & recovering nicely.

I wanted to show you today an ATC that I have made. I generally stick to making my ATCs as miniature cards but thought I would have a go at creating something a little different.

I have used my Distress Inks & used a small Tim Holtz mask. Once I had created the background I decided to take the risk & use the frame stamp. I added a butterfly tag in the centre of the frame & an acetate sentiment over the top. The mini butterflies were peel offs that I added Distress Ink to as well. Finally I added Distress Ink to an embossed Butterfly sticker. I have to say I am pretty pleased with it. I may even have another go soon x Clare x

Pink & Blue Teddy

I wanted to do a softer version of the Teddy card to use as a child's christmas card. I am really pleased with the result.
I used pale pink & blue threads I coloured the bear again with Promarkers & added stickles. I added these cute flowers to finish it off.

I added another bear to the inside of the card & continued with the pastel pink & blue theme. x Clare x

Teddy Christmas Card

I can't believe how quickly the year is passing & we are already in to Autumn. I have made a pretty good start on my Christmas cards & it was helped along by the fact that I was asked to do a demonstration at our local Hobbycraft on Sunday. Unfortunately it has taken to today for me to get the card finished.

I used one of last years Kanban stamps & coloured with Promarkers. I added Silver Ice stickles to his hat. The stitching is an Ann's Paper Art pattern & I stitched in Green, Red & Gold thread. The flowers were given a bit of Stickles along with the sentiment. Here is a close up of the image.

I carried the theme of the papers through to the inside of the card stamping directly on to the paper & just adding some colour to the bear's hat.
I am hoping to get some more of the cards finished over the next couple of days in between getting my craft room ready for me to move in to x Clare x

All I Want for Christmas

That always reminds me of that song about wanting 2 front teeth lol!! Well, I suppose it is inevitable for us crafters that thoughts are already turning to Christmas. I am already getting in the swing of getting the first cards ready to put in the box for my Christmas Fairs. I have to admit though I really enjoyed playing with this Boofle stamp that I have got in stock.

I coloured him with Promarkers & added the highlight on his nose with a white gel pen. I used these gorgeous Nitwit Papers which were magazine freebies last year. They have been teamed with this dark green K&Co Damask paper.
I added some Glamour Dust to his hat & green Stickles to the Robin. 3 Snowflake Brads with their legs removed to hold the card in place x Clare x

Devil ATC

I have been asked to take part in an ATC swap this month. I need to make 2 ATCs with the theme C & D. So I decided to use a favourite image of mine - Cheeky Devil.

The image as always is coloured with Promarkers & I added this great cat & ghost confetti pieces. The ribbon is a small piece found in my stash with a couple of gems. Lastly I added the D rub on. I just love the fact that I can use up all the little bits & pieces I save to make these x Clare x

Twisted Frogs

Well it's the weekend again & we have had some lovely sunshine again. I have had chance to tidy my desk & get a card created, so I thought I would get a Xmas card made.

I love my Easel Cards, but this time I thought it was about time that I had a go at a Twisted Easel card. I used this great stamp featuring some adorable frogs. I stamped them onto pearlescent card & coloured it with Promarkers. I added stickles to their hats & edged the circle with stickles too.

Here is a closeup. The flowers are made with a die. I have to say I do have a soft spot for Poinsettias. The gold edging around the card has been made by cutting strips off holographic peel offs as I had none in my stash. x Clare x

Racing Car

Its the Weekend & It's Sunny!! I hope you are all enjoying yourselves. I am off to a Classic Car Show tomorrow with my cards & supplies. Here is a new card that I have made to take with me.

I am just loving this new paper that I have got in. It is just fab. The image is a topper that I will be stocking in the very near future. It is printed in black & white with a black & silver Mirri edging. Here is a closer look.

I have teamed the cogs & gears paper with black glossy card & added black ribbon. The sentiment is from a Kanban set.

I used another topper on the inside of the card & used the paper & ribbon for the final side. x Clare x

Girly Card

Hello Everyone. It has been a few weeks since I have blogged. Unfortunately I have been dealing with one of my cats over the last 4 weeks. She is only 7, but has been diagnosed with Arthritis in her right hip & Osteoporosis in her pelvis. They have also discovered that she has an extra vertebrae in her spine & are now waiting for tests to see if it has caused any nerve damage. However, I am pleased to say that the medication they have put her on seems to be working. So today I have actually been able to blog a card.

If you follow my blog, you will know that I am not one for doing a lot of pink girly cards. However, I have to admit, with the huge range of images that are now available, I do seem to be enjoying these more. I have used this great image that came free on a cd with a magazine. I have coloured with my Promarkers.

I teamed it with these great Nitwit papers. I then found these flowers hiding in one of my drawers & added gems to the centres. The sentiment is also one that I got a few years ago & hid in a drawer lol!
I have followed the theme of the papers & the sketch through to the inside of the card.

I am hoping that I will begin to get a few more cards made again as I have loads of new things to play with x Clare x

Another 75th Card

Hi Everyone from a wet Essex :-( Shouldn't complain, saves me getting the watering can out :-) Today I have the 2nd of the cards I have made for my Uncle.

The sketch is from a great site I found called Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge & they keep all their past sketches for you to look at. I have used this fab stamp by Pink Gem. I coloured the image using Promarkers with a Copics thrown in & added some stickles to the stars. Here is a close up of the image.
I took part of the sketch through to the inside of the card.

Unfortunately I can't do any cardmaking until this evening as I have run out of paper & need a trip to Staples, so I will be doing some knitting or Xstitch this afternnon x Clare x
