Nitwit Xmas Card

Here is a new card that I have made using a fab decoupage sheet by Denise Rhodes.

It is an A4 DL card, which I have never done before & it is so easy to do. You just print off & cut round. To give it a bit more of a Christmassy feel I added Glamour Dust to the snow. xx Clare x

Incy Wincy Designs #61 & DT Call

Good Morning from a very grey Essex this morning. Unfortunately I'm not feeling too great again today but at least I can get some computer work & cardmaking done.

Before I let you all know about this week's challenge I want to let you know about the DT call over at Incy Wincy Designs. I can't believe my 6 months are almost over. I have thoroughly enjoyed being on the DT & encourage everyone to apply as its a fab team. The DT call is open until the 10th October & the DT will run from November until April so you will have all those fab Xmas images to play with.

Right onto this week's challenge. We have a nice easy one for you this week in the form of "Anything Goes". We are this week sponsored by the Aspire to Thrive charity so please, please pop over to their store. If you are new to Incy Wincy Designs, they use images from the ATT store where all the money taken goes straight to Children's Charities in Australia.

This week I have used this fab pre-coloured Holly image from Mary Helen Sims. I used some red Crystal Lacquers on the berries to give them a bit of shine. I used last week's sketch from Pear Tree Designs. The Holly embellishments were created using Holly Sequins with 3 gems as berries.

Don't forget you have until Wednesday to enter my blog candy if you haven't done so yet xx Clare x

New Card & Apologies

Hi Everyone!! Huge apologies for being awol over the last week & a half. I have had a few issues healthwise but am hoping I am coming out the other side now. I also decided on Tuesday that working at my desk surrounded by mess was stressing me out, however I didn't expect it to take me nearly 3 days!!!! to sort it all out!!

However, although not 100% I decided I needed to get some crafting done & here is the creation. This is a gorgeous Easel card kit that I bought this week by Carol Brown. You not only get the card but also the matching envelope too. I didn't really need to do too much to this, just added some stickles to the roses to add a bit of glitz. xx Clare x

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi Peeps. I am absolutely shattered today but still had plenty to do. Here is a card that I made last night.I made this card using a decoupage sheet by Sharon Trommelen. I made it into a DL card. I created the trim on his hat & cuff using Flower Soft. It was the first time I had managed to get this stuff to stay on properly. The key seems to be plenty of glue!! I then added Stickles to the snowflakes & the white bits on the lettering. xx Clare x

New Card for Beary Dust Stamps

I have been such a bad DTer for my friend Sue so today I decided to make amends & create a card using one of her images. This is one of the very 1st images she ever sent me & it has been sat in a drawer, already coloured & waiting to go on a card. Well today I have finished it.

I nearly forgot I had these papers & I am so glad I got them out as they are gonna come in useful over the next couple of months for my Xmas cards. I coloured the image with Aqua Promarkers. Luckily I had the sense at the time to write the colours down as I have now sold them! I used distress inks round the edge of the image xx Clare x

Teddy Cards

Hope everyone is well today. I have a treat for you today, 4, yes 4 cards for you. However they are all from the same set of toppers so were great to make up. All 4 cards were made using this week's sketch challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I just love their sketches. Simple to do but with a brilliant outcome.
All the papers I have used were from Simply Cards & Papercraft Issue 70. I coloured the images with Promarkers & added 3 star shaped flowers to the paper ribbon.

This second card is the same again but I added 3 Jolee Flowers to the paper ribbon.

This was actually the first card I completed out of the set & I wasn't too sure on it to start off with. I am not a huge fan of purple but it has definately grown on me. I added 3 star brads to the paper ribbon on this one.

This is the last of the 4 cards. I added buttons threaded with ribbons to this card. xx Clare x

Incy Wincy Designs#59 - Autumn Colours

Well another week has gone by. Majority of the schools have now gone back & the College's & Uni's are now beginning to go back again. My daughter starts her new Uni course next week so she has her inductions to go to this week.

This week at Incy Wincy Designs we are challenging you to create a project using Autumn Colours. We are being sponsored by AI Factory who have the most amazing selection of digistamps & other digital images.

I thought I would combine the colours with a more masculine card this week as that really was the only way I could get my head round the colours really.

I used this gorgeous Ant which I coloured with Promarkers. The sketch was created by a friend of mine at Craftycardscrappers. I have been having a bit of a play with some distress inks which is what I used on the circular background. I think I am going to have a bit of a lookie at some tuts for these as I haven't got a clue whether I am using them right lol!!!! Here is a closer look at the image
Don't forget I have a fab candy running this month so pop up the page & enter xx Clare x

Ready For Christmas Easel Card

Good Morning from a lovely sunny Essex. Unfortunately hubby is full of cold so we will be staying home today. I have been busy at my desk again creating another of these great double layer easel cards by Denise Rhodes.

I printed out 2 sheets as the previous easel card. This time however I didn't add any extra bits.

I added Star Dust Stickles to the large snow-covered tree in the centre & the bush in the righthand corner. I also added Gold Stickles to the tree behind the cart. xx Clare x

CraftyCat Halloween Cd

I have again been playing with images on Tracy's Halloween Paper Piecing CD & came up with these tags for sweetie bags.I set my printer up 2 print 2 A5 copies onto an A4 sheet. I cut out the paper piecing images out & made up. I then put them through a laminator & cut round leaving enough space at the top to punch a hole through. I took 6 A6 cello bags & filled with sweets. Then I fed some orange & black curling ribbon through & tied round the bags.

I made up sweetie bags for the kids on our estate last halloween & they went down brilliantly xx Clare x

Easel Card

Good Morning Everyone. It is a lovely sunny morning here in Essex although I am not quite sure how long it will last for. I have finally got 1 of my tribe back to school this week however Uni & College are still to start.

I was working hard yesterday evening making some bits & pieces the first of which I will let you see today. It is a fabby "double layer" easel card from Crafts U Print called "Cosy Cottage"

It is great for a quick card as there is no messing about with measurements, you just print & cut. I printed 1 sheet onto card & another onto paper so I could layer a bit more. I added stickles to the edge of the sentiment on the base. I also added stickles to the outside of the top of the card & to the snow on the rooftop. I then added a small ribbon & bow just to finish off. xx Clare x

My Advent Drawers

It has taken me a lot longer than I thought it would but I have finally finished my Snowman Sitting Advent Drawers. I got the kit from Crafts U Print (link in my sidebar). It gives you everything you need to make it .

I couldn't leave it alone though & had to add my extra touch to it. I added Stickles to the snowflake & round the edges of the sentiment on the Easel card. The poinsetta in the corner is a Prima one & I am fast running out of them rapidly. I added Dewdrops to the drawers as fake drawer handles & again covered these with Stickles. xx Clare x

This week it is Brenda's turn to host the challenge & she has chosen "In Stitches" as her theme this week. The sponsor this week is the fab Digistamp Boutique & I am so glad I got to play with another of their fab images for my card.

Back To School - Incy Wincy Designs

I can't believe how far behind the Bank Holiday has put me this week :-( I really don't seem to be catching up with anything. So I will make this post fairly quick.
This week over at Incy Wincy Designs we are challenging you to create a Back to School project. Our sponsor this week is Black Leaf Studio & they have donated this fabby digi paper pack as this week's prize

The DT had chance to have a play with this pack this week & I have to say it is a great pack to play with. Here is what I created

I think 1 of the biggest nightmares I have with my youngest son is not knowing his timetable so I have created a magnetic timetable so I can see when PE kits etc are needed in plenty of time!! I used 2 of the papers & printed out a timetable from the internet. I then laminated it & added some dome stickers that spell out "TIMETABLE" I then added some magnetic strips across the back. A nice easy project that saves hours of time over the school year xx Clare x

Papers : Black Leaf Studios
Timetable : Internet
Stickers & Magnets : From Stash
