Craftycat DT Project

Hi Everyone

Thank you for all your birthday messages yesterday.. they were lovely. Some of you may know that I have been pretty busy working on projects behind the scenes. Well I have been lucky enough to have been asked to join the Craftycat957 DT by Tracy.... thanks hun.....& have been busy creating a few things. Here is the first project that I can show you.

This great set is called Little Lori Devil Dress Up Paper Piecing set & has been created for Valentine's. I have created a fab card file from a tut here that my friend Ildiko told me about.

My First Miss Anya

I nearly didn't think I was going to get this card done tonight. Boy did I have an issue with the masking technique. It took me 9, yes 9 attempts to create this image. But I got there just in time. This card is for the following challenges

Pollycraft Challenge #31 - Winter Birthdays

Well yesterday was a bit eventful so by the time I finished this card last night I was too wrecked to post it. I have made this card for the Pollycraft Challenge this fortnight & I must admit it was a subject I have not really thought about before.

Just Magnolia meets Stamps & Smiles

Another card for you today & this time I have used my first new technique of the year. Just Magnolia have a brilliant tut by Mina on how to do Paper Pleating. Once you have seen it, it will probably remind you of the concertina fans you used to make as a child.

I have used my faithful Tilda for this card & tried to colour her slightly different from normal but still ended up using Lilacs. They just seem to suit her so well. Had a white rose that I coloured using Copics & added Stickles to. Have added quite a few gems to this card too.

Took part of the sketch & the Paper Pleating through to the inside of the card & added a circle for the message. xx Clare x

I am so pleased to be a member of the DT for this fantastic digistamp & clip art company. The images are fantastic & I am going to have great fun using them. I have managed to combine it with a couple of challenges so I am really pleased as this card is quite different from my usual plainish style.

Well this snow & ice seems to be here to stay for a little while longer so making the most of it by keeping warm & crafting is definately the best way to go. I have made this card for a friend's son's birthday, I can't believe he is turning 20!! I managed to tie it in with a couple of challenges

MAWTT#27 - Hazel's Challenge

Well welcome to a very cold Essex today so over at MAWTT we thought we would heat up the temperature with a bit of LURVE. The DT have been fortunate enough this week to have some gorgeous images to play with kindly donated by our new sponsor Crafty Cat. Tracy makes the cutest of images & has some fantastic cds for sale. Hazel has created a fab sketch this week but as the images were so adorable I decided it needed something a bit more special than a card so I came up with this.....


I used a plain wooden picture frame & coloured it with my Copics. Added the bp, the love image & teddy donated by Crafty Cat. The flower was coloured with Copics as well & pearls added to add that something extra.

First Card of 2010

Wow what a way to start the year with a card that fits 5 challenges. I have also used a stamp that has been sat in my drawer for a couple of months & I think he will get quite a few inkings this year. This card fits the following challenges.....

I have used a High Hopes stamp as I rediscovered stamping in 2009 & really love it again. I used a mixture of pens to colour in my ant. As the card is for a fella I wanted to keep the colours & embellishments fairly simple.

I hope you all had a peaceful end to the year & are raring to get cracking on some fab challenges in 2010.

The image has been created by a good friend of mine..... thanks hun. To give it a bit more of a xmassy feel I added Turquoise Stickles to the hat.
