Razzle Dazzle'em

Thank you all for entering your cards last week. I really enjoyed my first week on the DT. Over at Daisy & Dandelion this week we would like you to put a bit of Razzle Dazzle on your cards. Mine is a bit more OTT than razzle dazzle but I think it fits the bill well xxI have stamped & coloured Bubbles using my Whispers & MLP II pens (details of colours at the end of this post). The stitching was done using Ann's Paper Art pattern #a393 available from Sam at Cardstitching. I added 3mm round pearls to the centres of the flowers. I layered onto a sheet of D&D paper from my Picnic Patch pad. The ribbon was from my stash. The jewel in the centre of the flower that Bubbles is holding was from a jewelled flower, which I got OH to pull to bits for me & I added it with silicone glue.I got a bit carried away with the inside of the card this time, but I couldn't help myself. The papers are from my D&D pad again, except for the white which is from my stash. On the left of the card I have created a pocket to add money or a voucher. The paper has been created by using my Woodware punch & emboss flower punch. I punched the large flower from my Simply Elegant paper & added a Prima Painterly Petals & a Dovecraft Charm Brad.

Pens Used
MLP II : 13, 18, 63, 72
Whispers : Red, Purple

CCT & Just Magnolia

I have managed to make 1 card to combine 2 challenges today & those that know me well will know how much I have struggled with the Just Magnolia challenge. This week they had a colour theme which is Pink & Green. I can do girlie, just not Pink. But I have persevered & combining it with CCT's challenge of Get Edgy I think I have succeeded.Unfortunately the light here isn't very good today but I think you can pretty much see the colours. So to Get Edgy you had to tear, distress or sew the edges of your card. Well I sewed the edges of my centre panel ok, do you think I can get away with it...... I kept the card fairly simple using an A6 card & layering it with Urban Lilly's Sushi Stripe. The green paper is from my stash. I stitched round the edge of the centre panel using Ann's Paper Art pattern #a393 using green & dusty pink threads. I added irridescent beads in the centre of the flowers. These are both available from Sam. I used Flower Garland in Hair Tilda & coloured in using my usual pens. I then layered her onto the card using foam pads. On the inside of the card I used a 1cm strip of the green paper & created a flower by using my Woodware flower punch a punched a flower out of the sushi stripe paper, added a Prima Painterly Petal & a Dovecraft jewelled charm. The right side of the card is again the green paper from my stash & a scalloped circle cut with a Woodware punch.

Pens Used
Marvy Le Plume II: 16, 18, 63, 72, 76, &102
Whispers Dusty Pink

Wow I got an award

I have to say a big thank you to Mandy & Kaz_za for this wonderful award. Now I have to pass on to 5 blogs so the list is

K is for.....................

Over at the ABC Challenge this week they have got K is for.. Keeping It Simple. Well this just tied in with another card that I needed to make today.Everything on this card has been sitting in my stash for a good couple of years. The image is from a multisheet, the paper is K & Co. I'm not really happy with having to use peel offs but I struggle with doing sentiments on the computer.I have pretty much followed the sketch through to the inside xx

A Spoon Full of Sugar

There is a great sketch over at A Spoon Full of Sugar this week. It tied in nicely with a birthday card I needed to make for a friend's Dad this week. So here it is.....I just fell in love with this image when I saw it so I popped over to Pink Petticoat yesterday & it just fell into my shopping cart lol!! The image is Does My Bum Look Big In This...Hettie. I coloured it in using my Tombow & Whispers pens. The papers are HOTP & Daisy & Dandelion. The braid, gems & sentiment are from my stash. I left the inside pretty plain so haven't photographed.

Pollycraft Challenge #13

Well I am hoping this week to get back on top of things so here is my entry for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge. The theme this time is Orange. Now I have to admit, Orange scares me. I never know what other colours to put with it. But I think this has turned out ok. The image is the Sharing Sherbet stamp that I won a couple of weeks ago. Just had to take it on holiday with me.I have carried the sketch through to the inside of the card. The piece of white paper has a hint of orange chalk around the outside, just enough to take off the whiteness.

Papers: HOTP, my stash
Stamp: Sharing Sherbert by Pollycraft
Flowers: Papermania, my stash
Ribbon: HOTP
Sentiment: HOTP
Gems: Kanban

Just Magnolia Challenge #1

If you haven't heard about this new challenge blog yet.......... where have you been. Run by the fabby Bev it is a must for all Magnolia fans. The first challenge was launched on Friday with a prize worth £50. They have already achieved 300 followers & had over 100 entries for their 1st challenge. Amongst the DT are Bev, Marcea & Rach. Well I just had to join in so here is my card.....While on holiday I made the smart decision to get myself a Koi waterbrush & I am now soooo enjoying stamping. If you don't have one it is well worth it & you can pick one up for about £5. I rotated the sketch as Edwin was a tad too tall to fit on the card & resized to create an A5 card. I stamped & coloured Edwin playing football using a mixture of Marvy Le Plume & Whispers pens. I layered onto a piece of scrapbook card from the Static Collection by Crate Paper. I have used my HOTP papers & added 2 epoxy stickers onto diecut stickers from my stash. The play sentiment is from the same collection which I added 4 gems to just for a bit of bling lol!!!I took the papers through to the inside of the card & coloured in another Edwin.

Great Holiday/D&D Challenge Blog

OMG What a stressful couple of days.... Had a fantastic week with my Mum only to pack up the car & drive half an hour up the road & the Cam Belt went on the car sob sob!!! Now for those of you that don't know, we own a 1984 Mk3 Escort thats hubby's restoration project. Now when a cam belt goes on a car it is extremely rare for an engine to survive. Well miraculously for us ours did....just. So we were towed back to Mum's & a few hours of hubby clanging & banging the car was fixed enough for us to crawl 340 miles back home.... 24 hours later than planned.
Now onto my second week as GD over at Daisy & Dandelion Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is to create a card with the theme "With Love". I had a firm idea of what I wanted to do for this card & it came out completely different & I love it....
The background paper is from Papermania Simply Elegant. The daisy ribbon is also from Papermania. I created the pearlescent background from an ornaré pattern I had in my drawer. I added black & crystal gems to alternate segments on the ornaré. The bunny is my diecut decoupage Candyfloss. The flower is created using a mixture of Prima, Papermania & a Jewelled brad from Dovecraft. The With Love is made using gold peel offs on a brown tag.
I will add the inside of the card this afternoon once I have unpacked all my crafting things.

A bit later than planned but here is the inside of my card. I have taken the simply elegant paper through from the front of the card. I have cut a rectangle of the pearlescent paper & cut & embossed the corners with my Fiskars corner punch.

Don't forget to check out the cards from my fellow GD & DT members. xx

Sketch Callenge at Daisy &Dandelion

Morning everyone!!! This post is a bit rushed as I am halfway out the door on holiday, but luckily I will be taking my laptop with me so I can update it a bit later with more details. As some of you may know I have managed to get a guest DTspot over at Daisy & Dandelion challenge spot. Well here it is............
I have used the D&D papers from my A5 pad & the circle is from HOTP which I ran through my paisley cuttlebug folder. So it wasn't quite as raised I actually bugged it upside down. I used my Diecut decoupage of Squeak & the For You stamp from my Bubbles & Squeak stamp set. The flower is made up from Prima & Papermania with a Dovecraft Jewelled Brad in the centre. The gems are from my stash.
I have followed the sketch through to the inside of the card & I have added a layer of Squeak on the left.
Make sure you pop over to see the gorgeous cards made by my fellow GD & DT members xx

Two By Two

I have spent the weekend making gift boxes for my Niece & Nephew for Easter. I must admit I have got hooked on boxes so I decided to make one for the Daisy & Dandelion challenge this week. The challenge is Two by Two, 2 papers, 2 brads/eyelets, 2 embellies.I have stuck 2 sheets of the D&D paper to card & scored these using my Ultimate Crafters Companion. Then in the centre of the box lid I used my diecut decoupage of Bubbles. The flowers were taken from the Bubbles stamp, which I partly inked up. I coloured the flowers using a whispers pen & cut out. I added 2 jewelled brads from Dovecraft.I made 6 notecards by cutting rectangles of card & stamping a flower border from the Candyfloss & Marshmallow set.

Sketch Saturday/Cute Card Thursday

Wow you will need your sunglasses on for this challenge card lol!!! CCT wanted you to use Citrus colours on your card. You could use all the colours or just some of the colours. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday & this is what I managed to create.......The papers are from HOTP & have been divided by a ribbon from my stash. If anyone knows who this ribbon is made by please let me know as I have almost run out. The image is Cat with a Cuppa by Pink Gem.I have masked off the flowerpot from the image. As usual I have coloured the image with a mixture of Tombow & Marvy Le Plume. The sentiment stamp is by Cuddly Buddly & I have layered this onto a flower that I got from Papermania last night.I have followed most of the sketch through to the inside of the card.

Dandelion & Daisy/ Secret Crafter

Before I start telling you about todays card I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone that has visited my blog & left comments on my cards. It really means a lot to know you have taken time to do this xx
Now onto tonights card. I have really fallen for these Daisy & Dandelion images & am going to have to go shopping to get some more. Their challenge this week was a card for friends. I combined it with the Secret Crafter challenge which is "Stitching". Ooooh one of my favourite words. The paper is from my D&D pad. The stitching pattern is Ann's Paper Art No. A430_a which I got from Sam. I used my gems in the centre of the flowers. I just adore this bunny holding his Daisy from D&D. I have added a gem to the centre as well. The ribbon was from my stash. On the inside of the card I matched the front as much as possible, adding gems to the centres of the flowers on the ribbon. xx
