Cheeky Get Well

I was asked by a colleague of hubby's to make a card for a family member who was recovering from an operation. I was told, female card, funny rather than flowers. So why not have flowers & funny? Here is the result.

I am not one for girly colours, but I am loving this combo of purple & yellow. I used my Trim 'n' Score to emboss the edges of the flaps.  I got hubby to do the sentiment for me using a font called Harrington.

I photoshopped the image so I could create a page of flowers to colour using Lilac & Lavender Promarkers & the Blender pen. I am hoping to do a tutorial for this soon.
The image on the inside is one of my favourite images from Redonkadoodles. It always makes me smile when I print it out.

I have coloured it with Promarkers & using 3 layers created a 3D image. Added some more flowers to the inside of the card. x Clare x

Surfy Santa

Good evening everyone. Bit late with my blog post tonight. Been a busy computer day. I have been making another sunny Christmas card today using another great Bugaboo image :-) This one is Santa with his surf board.

I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday & coloured Santa in using Promarkers. I added some Silver Ice Stickles to his hat. I then layered onto this fab snowflake paper from MME's Oh Christmas Tree from 2010. Added a sentiment, gems & twine to complete.

On the inside of the card I have tried to make Santa look like he was holding the message space in the middle, but I am not quite convinced I have it 100% right. Will have a slightly better idea when I have another go at this again x Clare x

Prima Beetle

Well I am certainly on a roll this week :-) Today I have a card for you that I have made using some gorgeous Prima papers that are now in stock.

I coloured the Beetle stamp using Promarkers & edged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I layered onto chocolate brown cardstock & Prima Time Traveller papers.

The tickets across the bottom of the card were also cut from one of the papers. I printed the sentiment onto Kraft Card & edged with Distress Ink. I then added Craft Candi & Bling Flat Backed Pearls.
I used the same papers on the inside of the card & just centralised everything. x Clare x

Christmas Oasis

This is not something I have done before. In the past I have made pretty traditional Christmas cards, but this time I thought I would try something new.

I got this great image from Bugaboo & coloured him with Promarkers. Then using the sketch from SSW2 I matted & layered the card using MME Lost & Found papers. I added gems, ribbon & this cute Christmas bells charm.
The ticket I found on a site called The Beary Scrap Papercrafting Blog. I edged the ticket, as well as Santa's hat & pom pom with Silver Ice Stickles.

I used the same papers on the inside of the card & again added some of the red stitched ribbon x Clare x

Craft Room Update

Well I have been in my little craft room for a while now. There were still a few bits & pieces that weren't originally finished like the floor & windows. Last weekend the floor was finished, so I decided that last week would be the perfect time to have a bit of a sort out & update.

We decided to move the sofa bed out of the corner to free up a bit more space. Works well where it is now, as we discovered after having to use it for 2 nights. An extra bookcase has been added in the corner to house my magazines. This freed up the large cupboard in the sideboard.

I now have my table permanately out & have been able to get my sewing machine out of it's box. Hoping I will use it a bit more now. Another new bookcase has been added & we have removed the large brown desk that was in this corner.

I have moved all my daily use craft bits to one side of my desk which has freed up some much needed space.

I have blinds on the window!!! I can't believe how much difference these sheer blinds have made. We have added 3 so I can alter them as the sun moves across my window.

Tomorrow I will be back with another card that I have made x Clare x

Canadian Wedding

This card was made for an order & has been taken on a plane out to Canada. The wedding was yesterday so I am hoping it is safe to upload now.

I followed a previous sketch from Sketch N Stash & used this gorgeous decoupage sheet from Craft Creations called Wedding Day. I added some Clear WOS to the veil & edge of the dress.I matted it onto papers from Crate Paper & Mambi & the base card is Centura Pearl.

The die is from Impression Obsession & just cut from white card, with some more WOS added. Bling flat backed pearls have been added to the bottom corner & round the circular mat in the centre.

To finish the inside I added a layer of the bonus pyramid decoupage to the inside of the card. x Clare x
