Daisy Doodles - Memorial Day

Good Afternoon Everyone. Next Monday is Memorial Day in America so we have been challenged to create our projects using Red, White & Blue. I have decided not to get for an American theme but a British theme.

I have coloured the aeroplane images using Promarkers & I have decoupaged both planes. I then found this amazing grunge Union Jack on Deviant Art. The Motto is an old RAF motto & translates to "Nothing Can Withstand Us" x Clare x

Couple of ATCs

Hope you are all well. Here are a couple of ATCs that I have made today. They are for a swap that I take part in over at Craftycardscrappers. The theme was Emerald so be ready for loads of Green lol!!!This one I decided to do differently for a change & I cross stitched the image. I have had itchy fingers for weeks so it was great to have a reason to get my needles & threads back out again. I created an aperture as I am not a great fan of the Aida sitting on projects. I prefer it to be neater. To stop it looking too plain I added a Jolee Boutique flower & a mini bow with a gem in the centre.

The 2nd one is following the sketch & recipe from SWTD. Quite a simple ATC, I decoupaged the bear. Then I added the ribbon & butterfly. x Clare x

Daisy Doodles - Free Week

Its another free week so us DT at Daisy Doodles this week so I have had a bit of a play this week. Miss Daisy has created this fab set called Up, Up & Away. I have been itching to play.

I have been creative with my Distress Inks & made up the blue background by stamping the ink pad directly onto the paper. I then made the cream border around this as well. The image was coloured with Promarkers & cut out 3 layers to 3d the image. The white layer was embossed in my bug & again I added distress inks to the border. The sentiment was nicked from one of my La Pashe kits x Clare x

21st & Corner Card

I have been a bit quiet over the past week as I have loads going on with home life at the moment but I managed to get 2 cards made yesterday. The 1st is a 21st birthday card that I made on the robo.I cut the base layer from plain black card. Used some Papermania Silk Screened paper for the topper then edged with Stickles. Then I added 2 different sized roses.

The 2nd card is a new concept for me & I think I will definately be making a few more. It is a Corner Card & the kit came from CUP.

I cut out all the elements & added a couple o little bits in to glam it up. I used black flatbacked pearls for the drawer handles & I added some eyelash wool to the dress hanging up & the top of the handbag. I then added some Stickles to her ring & jewels on her hat x Clare x

Daisy Doodles - Colour Challenge

Hello Everyone. I am running so late with this card this week but I have finally got it done. It didn't help with blogger playing up this morning. So without any more delay here we go.

The challenge at Daisy Doodles this time is a Colour Challenge. We want to see you using PINK, GREEN, BLUE with BROWN &/OR KRAFT.

I have been rummaging through some old craft supplies this week & this is the card I have created. The panel of brown motley paper is from an old handmade paper pack that must have sat in the cupboard for 5 years now!! The Jolee leaves have probably been there just as long!!! The image is coloured as usual with Promarkers. I created the flower using a paper rose, Jolee's leaves & a piece of laser cut paper which I folded. xx Clare x

Wedding Card

Hi Everyone

Before I show you all my latest card, I would like to share with you all some exciting news. I am now renting some itsy bitsy space at a gorgeous little shop in Battlesbridge, Essex. The shop is owned by a lovely lady called Lisa & she runs the shop called Bushbaby Crafts. So if you are ever in the area please make sure you pop in.


Right onto my card. I have created this card to go in the shop. I coloured the image with Promarkers, added Stickles to the Stamens & used Liquid Pearls on the icing. I then layered it onto the backing paper. I had a roll of laser cut paper which I added as a border. I then added the flowers & stamens in the corners of the card & a white organza ribbon across the top.


On the inside of the card I kept it fairly simple, just using the backing papers & borders. However I did create a journaling space using some white paper & my Xcut punch.


I used a boxmaker to create the box. I then coloured another image again with Promarkers. I again added the stickles, background paper & borders.

Daisy Doodles - Free Week

Good morning everyone. I have a fairly quick post today. Over at Daisy Doodles we are having our "free cards" showcased this week. I have made an ATC with my image. Unfortunately I forgot to photograph it before I sent it, but my friend Hetty was more than happy to do so for me when she received it :-)

I printed the background paper & added the handbag which had been coloured using Promarkers. I added gems to the the bag. The theme of the ATCs was Diamonds so I added this cute sticker that reads "I love you more than Diamonds". I then added a couple of flower peel offs & some more gems. xx Clare x

Where Does It Go?

OMG where does the time go. My youngest has turned 14 today & I am still trying to work out where the time has gone. This is the birthday card that I made for him yesterday.

I used a sentiment stamp to create the sentiment around the edge & added a couple of paw print rub ons. I then cut out the layers of the CUP sheet & using foam pads layered them up. xx Clare x
