Start Your Engines

I have been busy over the last couple of days getting some cards completed for Crafts U Print. I have chosen to do a couple of cards featuring Comiccars. Here they are below
I have created both cards in the same way just changing a couple of details so they aren't both quite identical. I used HOTP papers as the borders outside the main pictures as they didn't quite fill an A5 card.

To create the inside of the cards I took a 2nd sheet & cut out the image to leave an area for the message to be written. I added the tools in the corners just to give the inside a bit of detail.

Papers : HOTP Creative Christmas Stack
3D Sheets : Tuned to Perfection Card Fronts 1 & 3 by Sharon Poore
Sentiments : White Happy Birthday from a La Pashe Flippin Men sheet, Yellow typed sentiment from stash

Changed Settings

Just a quick note to inform you all that you will now only be able to leave a comment on my blog if you are a registered user. Unfortunately I have had continuous spamming over the last month on my comments & have had to restrict the settings so Anomynous users can no longer leave me a comment. I love receiving comments off you all but I have had enough spam messages now. xx Clare x

CraftyCat Wedding Card 4

This is the last in a series of 4 cards that I have made using the Wedding Cd from Craftycat. I hope I have given you some ideas for the cd over the last couple of months. I have a great new cd to play with in August so I have got to find some time to play.

I have this time used the paper piecing Gazebo, Bride & Groom & used the blue flowers from the flower sheet. The gazebo was printed in A5 & pieced together. I added the blue flowers whicvh I had printed in A4 size. I added some gems from a Poundland nail file in the centres of the flowers. The bride & groom were printed in "contact" size to get them small enough. I added silver gems to the tiara & star dust stickles to the dress. The stitching in the corners was done by hand using an Ann's Paper Art sheet. xx Clare x

OSAAT#23 - Some Goodbyes

Good morning from a very overcast Essex. I was meant to be out car booting this morning but the forecast wasn't very good so I decided to stay in & get some work done xx

We have a fab challenge for you over at OSAAT this week but first for some sad news. Our lovely DT leader Sam has decided to step down from the DT & leave us to give her love & attention to her fabby store. If you haven't seen you really ought to take a look as she creates the most gorgeous crocheted items xx Secondly, our lovely creator Susan (Crafty Chaos) has decided to leave the store as a creator. However she is staying on with us at the DT so it's not a total goodbye. But as a special send off all our creations were made this week using Susan's fab papers.

Right onto this week's challenge. Stitchy Bear Store is sponsoring us again this week & they are giving away 3 digital images to the lucky winner.

We want to see your cards using the colour scheme......Black, White & one other colour. This would have been a brilliant challenge but as I went to make my card on Tuesday....my black ink cartridge run out on my printer!!!!!! So when it finally came on Friday my card ended up rushed :-( But here it is anyway.....

I used last week's sketch over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp. I won't be entering it though as the challenge changed this morning doh!!! I didn't even get to create the inside of the card this week as I just run out of time. So this is going to be a really short post & the details are at the bottom lol!!! xx Clare x

Incy Wincy Designs #51 - Alter It

Good Morning peeps!!! The weather forecast for today is HOT HOT HOT!!!! My kind of weather.

Right onto this week's challenge...This week we want you to make an Altered Project. Aspire To Thrive are our sponsors again this week & have put up a $10 voucher for the store xx
I was a bit late in deciding what I was going to create this week so I am not entirely happy with what I have created but it works nonetheless.

My eldest lad gave my hubby a watch on our anniversary on Saturday so I decided to Alter it & create a Cat Treat Box. So here is the finished project.......

I used my Daisy & Dandelion papers & liked the fact that I could use the black from the box to outline the papers. I used this cute cat image from the store & found these cute chipboards in the bottom of a embellie box. The flower stickers were also found at the bottom of the box!!I lined the inside of the box with stripes & added the cat treats. I managed to do it without the cats knowing too lol!!! xx Clare x

Two Cat Cards

Hi Everyone & welcome to another couple of cards from me. I know I don't normally post 2 together but I thought this time it would be easier. They are both made from a sheet of digistamps that are available over at Craft U Print.
The 1st card is using the image Kitten in Basket. Not quite sure where the basket comes into it but never mind.

I coloured the image with Promarkers & layered onto pink, green & pink gingham papers. I had a pale pink ribbon that I coloured using a Rose Pink Promarker & tied into a bow. I added the roses in the corner & coloured a diecut sentiment with a Pale Green Copic. Below is the inside of the card.I am entering this card into the following challenges.......

Right onto the 2nd card.........

I made a 6x6 card & then sliced one corner off. I added a piece of acetate to the inside of the card.I covered the remaining corner with spotty paper. The oval was cut out using my Nellie & I added gems to every other scallop. I coloured the image with Promarkers. I then added 3 button flowers. In the inside left of the card I used the piece of card that I cut from the front of the card to sandwich the acetate & again covered with the spotty paper. I added another oval & printed a birthday verse on my computer.

On the inside right of the card I added another oval, some flower paper & a sentiment.

Tomorrow I will be back to a normal short post & this week's Incy Wincy creation xx Clare x

New Wedding Card

Evening Everyone. Wow what a really manky day we have had today. Yucky winds & rain. I am hoping that things will improve before the weekend as I am off to Silverstone for my chrissy present.

I have been playing again with Tracy's wedding cd that you can find over at Craftycat. I made 2 cards from this cd & I enjoyed them so much I hung onto it for another month. So here is the 3rd card I have created. For the front of the card as you can see I used the bride, groom & blue birds. The frame they are layered onto is the remains of a oval I punched out using my oval nellies. I layered it onto some silver glitter paper. I have added stickles & flat back pearls to the bride & used a flower decorated in stickles as the bouquet. Here is a closer look at the image.

I tried to keep the inside of the card fairly plain as I didn't want to take too much away from the front of the card so I have used the heart & banner on the left of the inside

& on the right of the inside I have used the same paper as the front & added an oval nellie for the writing space. xx Clare x

Incy Wincy Designs - Challenge 50!!!!

Wow they are celebrating over at Incy Wincy Designs this week. They have reached Challenge #50!!!!

We are being sponsored this week by a brilliant company called Instyle Stamps. They offer a range of rubber stamps as well as Digital Images. The prize they are offering this week is a choice of 4 digital images to the lucky winner!!

The challenge this week is for you to use distressing on your cards. This can be by distressing your papers or using distress inks.

I loved being down my Mum's over the weekend & took full advantage of her fab garden. I followed the sketch & technique over at The Pixie Cottage. I haven't made an aperture card for ages & it was great to do something different for a change. I just loved the image too. I coloured Ava in using my Promarkers.

Here is the view through the aperture from the inside of the card and here is the image with the distressed papers.

I am loving these pens more & more. I can't believe I was able to create cards with a basic pack of 12 though as I seem to use more & more shades as I get more lol!!!

Here is a closer look at the image. I love this mirror reflection. I couldn't help glittering her wings either lol!!!! xx Clare x

OSAAT#21 ..........Military

Afternoon everyone

Well I have scheduled my post (again) as I should be on my way home back to Essex from my weekend in Somerset & Wales. When I blogged about the Speedway earlier I mentioned about the fact that the Navy & Marines were part of the pre-race entertainment. I totally forgot that the theme this week at OSAAT was Military!!!!

As I said our theme is Military & we want you to create a card for a member of the forces. This could be a birthday card, Xmas card, anything as long as it has the theme.

Stitchy Bear Stamps are sponsoring the challenge this week & are offering you 5 digis of your choice as the prize. Don't forget to pop over to the shop & check out their sale. You can get there from my sidebar if you need a link.

I chose a 3D sheet that I had featuring a Harrier jump jet...one of my favourite aircraft. The papers are a set from Toucan Scraps (you can find her in the store) & they are great colours for all types of men's & teenagers cards. I used 3 different papers from the set on my card. The sketch is taken from the sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday this week.

Well that was definately a short post for me lol!!!! Check back tomorrow for this week's Incy Wincy Designs challenge xx Clare x

Fab Day in Cardiff

Wow we had an awesome day in Cardiff in yesterday when we went down for the Speedway British Grand Prix. The entertainment was amazing. We had the Royal Navy doing their cannon runs & the Marines abseiling down from the roof of the Millenium Stadium.
The Speedway itself was just amazing & so was the noise inside. Congrats to Chris Holder for winning.

Check back later to see this week's challenge over at One Stitch at a Time xx Clare x

Incy Wincy Designs - Punches

Well I am posting this on hubby's netbook again as my power supply has fallen to bits again :-( However I am meant to be receiving my new lappy this week. It is due tomorrow but I am not holding my breath lol!!!This week at Incy Wincy Designs we are asking you all to get out those punches. We are again this week being sponsored by Aspire to Thrive. If you haven't been over to their store please do as all money from purchases goes straight to children's charities xx

I decided to create an Easel card using the 3d dog sheet from the store which is available in black & white as well as colour. I downloaded the black & white version & only used the base layer which I coloured in with my Promarkers. I used my Martha Stewart punch & a diecut sentiment. Here is a closer look at the coloured image.

Hopefully I will be back tomorrow with another card but it all depends if I can get access to my laptop to transfer my files across xx Clare x

Craftycat Wedding Card

Evening everyone....another busy day here today. We bought a shed off ebay so it has been a bit busy clearing the garden & going to collect. But it will be worth it when I have a tidy house again.....

I have been playing with Tracy's wedding cd again this weekend & created this card

I used the white champagne bottle from the cd. I embossed the background, added some ribbon, pearls, flowers & sparkle. I am quite pleased with the result. Here is a closer look at the champagne bottle.

I do want to quickly say Get Well Soon to Tracy as she has been fairly poorly over the past few weeks. Don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see more latest card for Incy Wincy Designs xx Clare x

Dirt Track Biker

Afternoon everyone. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. I have another card for you today that I have created using a sheet from Crafts U Print.

I created a slightly larger than normal easel card for this one. The width is 5 1/2 inches. I didn't do the top part as a square, I wanted to keep it rectangular. I used a sheet of HOTP Xmas paper for the base of the card. All the other elements are taken from the sheet. I won't be back tomorrow with my OSAAT card as we have a new DT that are doing this week's so make sure you pop over to see what they have created. You may spot a couple of familiar faces over there. xx Clare x

A couple of months ago I told you all that my Dad had been celebrating his 70th birthday. To mark the occassion I created a mini scrapbook for him with images from the decades he has lived through . This was the first one I had ever made & I used my Zutter to piece it all together.
Well I forgot to get piccies of it. So when I saw him at the weekend I nabbed it back. I hope you enjoy viewing it.
