Sympathy Card

Morning everyone from a very, very, white Essex. I have to say the scenery is stunning here at the moment & my bunnies are having a fab time. However, I am chasing my tail at the moment trying to get myself sorted for Xmas Day lol!!!

I was meant to have got this card made last week for my free card week at Daisy Doodles :-( I did get it finished on Saturday but had lost the light to be able to photograph it. Then yesterday I was running round trying to get some food in for Xmas.

So here is the card completed.

I haven't done any paper pricking for ages but love the way it looks when I do get time. This is a lovely pattern that gives a great effect. The image is of a Floral Cross. This is half price at Daisy Doodles at the moment. I have coloured it using my Copics. I have added peel offs to the corners. xx Clare x

Guest Designer - Craft Your Days Away

Evening everyone!! Yesterday was my last craft fair of 2010 & I have to say I have enjoyed them a bit more this year. I wish I could say that I would be relaxing over the Christmas period but I wouldn't be relaxing if I wasn't crafting!!!

I was thrilled on Monday to find out that I had been chosen as this week's Guest Designer over at Craft Your Days Away. This is still a fairly new challenge blog but I love their challenges. If you haven't been over make sure you do over the Christmas period. This is the last challenge of the year & will be running until 7th January so no excuses for not taking part.

The challenge has been chosen by DOREEN & the theme is "Punch It Out"

I have used this gorgeous stamp that I have had unused for 12 months & coloured in using my Promarkers. I then used my Woodware scalloped circle punch & layered onto a circle cut using my creative memories circle cutter. I used my MS punch to create the bands across the centre. The sentiment is peel offs layered onto a scalloped rectangle, layered onto a scalloped square which have both been punched using my Woodware scalloped square. xx Clare x

MAWTT / DAISY DOODLES

Good Morning Everyone. It is a lovely sunny morning here in Essex, if not a bit blustery. I have a fab card for you all this morning covering 2 DT projects. But to start off with a little bit of housekeeping that I need to get done.

Unfortunately the winner of my blog candy from September never came forward so I have re-drawn the winner on Random.org. This time comment #22 Angie Congratulations & could you please contact me at threadbare01@gmail.com with your address.

Right onto this week at Moving Along With The Times. I have great pleasure in not only being asked to take up my regular spot as their guest designer but to be sponsoring them as well so please pop over & join in this week. Hazel has provided a great sketch for you to follow & there is an open theme.

I have managed to combine my card with a Daisy Doodle image so this will be my card for Daisy Doodle this week as well.

I have used these fab MME papers that I got from Debbie last year. Unfortunately the camera hasn't picked up all the glitter on the papers. I have coloured the bear in using a mixture of Promarkers & Copics. I will be glad when the day comes where I have all the colours & only need to use one brand or the other. I added glitter gems to all the scallops on the card although these don't seem to have picked up :-( xx Clare x

Hello & Goodbye xx

Good morning everyone from a rather frosty Essex. Well I have had so much going on over the last week & I'm not sure it is going to slow down this week either!!

Today I have mixed emotions as I am here for my last week with Incy Wincy Designs. I have been on the DT for 6 months & have loved every minute. I will definately be hanging around entering their challenges, so they don't get rid of me that easily. But as they say " as one door closes.....", this is my first week with the brilliant girls over at Daisy Doodles!!!! The girls here are a blast.... no pun intended really. So as I have 2 cards for you this morning we had better get cracking.

DAISY DOODLES - BONFIRE NIGHT

This week at Daisy Doodles we thought we would start with a "Bang" so want to see your Bonfire Night projects. Now this is a big English Tradition everyone loves Bonfire Night. I decided that the only thing I could create was "Bangers" Now this isn't my usual sort of DT project but I think it works.

Again if you are not aware of English traditions, we loving refer to sausages as "Bangers". I coloured the rockets in using Paint Shop Pro X & stuck them to wooden tea stirers. I then spelt the word "Bang" with peas.
If you are not familiar with Daisy Doodles challenges make sure you pop over to the blog to see what is going on. Also make sure you check out the other DT as most of us are on our 1st week & would love for you to make us feel welcome xx Clare x

New Card & Apologies

Hi Everyone!! Huge apologies for being awol over the last week & a half. I have had a few issues healthwise but am hoping I am coming out the other side now. I also decided on Tuesday that working at my desk surrounded by mess was stressing me out, however I didn't expect it to take me nearly 3 days!!!! to sort it all out!!

However, although not 100% I decided I needed to get some crafting done & here is the creation. This is a gorgeous Easel card kit that I bought this week by Carol Brown. You not only get the card but also the matching envelope too. I didn't really need to do too much to this, just added some stickles to the roses to add a bit of glitz. xx Clare x

Warm Winter Wishes

Hi Peeps. I am absolutely shattered today but still had plenty to do. Here is a card that I made last night.I made this card using a decoupage sheet by Sharon Trommelen. I made it into a DL card. I created the trim on his hat & cuff using Flower Soft. It was the first time I had managed to get this stuff to stay on properly. The key seems to be plenty of glue!! I then added Stickles to the snowflakes & the white bits on the lettering. xx Clare x

New Card for Beary Dust Stamps

I have been such a bad DTer for my friend Sue so today I decided to make amends & create a card using one of her images. This is one of the very 1st images she ever sent me & it has been sat in a drawer, already coloured & waiting to go on a card. Well today I have finished it.

I nearly forgot I had these papers & I am so glad I got them out as they are gonna come in useful over the next couple of months for my Xmas cards. I coloured the image with Aqua Promarkers. Luckily I had the sense at the time to write the colours down as I have now sold them! I used distress inks round the edge of the image xx Clare x

Teddy Cards

Hope everyone is well today. I have a treat for you today, 4, yes 4 cards for you. However they are all from the same set of toppers so were great to make up. All 4 cards were made using this week's sketch challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. I just love their sketches. Simple to do but with a brilliant outcome.
All the papers I have used were from Simply Cards & Papercraft Issue 70. I coloured the images with Promarkers & added 3 star shaped flowers to the paper ribbon.

This second card is the same again but I added 3 Jolee Flowers to the paper ribbon.

This was actually the first card I completed out of the set & I wasn't too sure on it to start off with. I am not a huge fan of purple but it has definately grown on me. I added 3 star brads to the paper ribbon on this one.

This is the last of the 4 cards. I added buttons threaded with ribbons to this card. xx Clare x
