Cup with Roses

I have been having a play with a cup sheet today & a robo template that I downloaded last night. I printed off the sheet 3 times to be able to decorate the card throughout.

I used 2 of the gingham pieces from the sheets to create a square. I then cut the matt on my robo. I cut the teapot square from the centre of one of the sheets & decoupaged.

For the left inside of the card, I cut up another main image leaving the teapot & heart corner. I partially stuck this down using double sided tape to create a pocket. To make the bookmark, I cut 2 of the bookmarks out & backed them on to each other trimming off any white bits that were showing. I punched through the hole & attached a piece of pink ribbon.

On the right of the card I used the square from the main image that was left behind after remove the teacup. I placed a white square of paper in the middle to create a jounaling square. I then used one of the single roses across the bottom.

Check back tomorrow for a special posting xx Clare x

18th Birthday Card

I was asked by a customer of my hubby's if I could make a birthday card for her friend's daughter. Of course I said yes!! I talked her round to a champagne bottle. I love doing these as it gives me a chance to really play :-)

There are quite a few pics so please bear with me. I also apologise if you have already seen this in various places today xxI have used the Champagne Bottle & Box templates from Arty Farty.

I decorated the base card using a Kanban paper. I then used red holographic card as the main bottle.

I decorated the label with red & black roses & 2 different stamens. I also made a hatpin. I then added 2 black organza butterflies & 2 bows using red stitched ribbon.

I added the same ribbon to the outer edge of the box

I then added flurish peel offs to the front of the box xx Clare x

Daisy Doodles - Spring

Good Morning everyone!!! I hope you are all enjoying the delights of Spring. All the Daffodils & Blossoms are blooming here in Essex & there is colour everywhere :-) So what better challenge to have over at Daisy Doodles than Spring. We want to see loads of colour this week.

I have created something different this week for my project. I thought I would have a go at altering a wooden shape. I have made this for my Mum for Mother's Day.

I bought a house shaped wooden blank & over a week I added pale yellow paint to it. Every few layers I then sanded the paint back to keep it smooth. After quite a few layers I then printed out SunBeem onto some thin printer paper using a Best setting. I then turned the paper over & drew over the image from behind. This caused the ink to imprint onto the paint. I then drew over the image that was imprinted on the blank with pencil & started colouring the image in. I used Promarkers as my base layer then went over with the Brush end of my Copics.
Once I had done this I decided that the paint was a little too plain so I decided to add the red stripes. After masking the areas I used 2 layers of paint. Unfortunately the paint bled under the masking tape so I edged them with peel offs. I then added these cute bumblebees. xx Clare x

13th Birthday Card

Yesterday was my son's best friends 13th birthday & this was a perfect excuse for me to play with my new Cuttlebug alphabet dies. I wanted to make a card that was perfect for a teenage boy who wasn't very sporty. I really struggled to find any images so I turned to my trusty cd.

Both the image & the backing paper have been taken from the cd. I backed both onto glossy black card. I then cut the 13 today using my bug x Clare x

Another 2 ATCs

Here are another 2 ATCs. I made these for a swap. They are both using images & papers from the Seraphina Cds.

The 1st ATC is using Mouse Blowing Bubbles. I have coloured him in using Promarkers. I used glue dots to adhere him to the card. I have printed out a background paper after reducing it to wallet size. I added a piece of blue cord tied into a bow. The ATC was cut on my robo.

The second one is using Sleeping Mouse. Isn't she just adorable!! I have layered her onto another backing paper that I resized. I added Liquid Pearls to the centre of the flowers. I again placed onto an ATC cut on my robo. xx Clare x

Mid Month Inspiration - Ellephantastic Challenges

Good Morning Everyone & welcome to the Mid Month Inspiration that we have for you at Ellephantastic. Hazel & the DT have been working hard on a fab ATC Tutorial for you all. Don't forget there are no prizes for taking part, you get to create for fun!!

For my 1st ATC I used the lovely Barney. I was looking through some fab Tuts for colouring with Promarkers by Debbie Glennie & decided to follow her technique of colouring with your darkest shades first. I have to say I can notice a difference. You can find Debbie's TUTs here. I kept my ATCs fairly simple. I added some glitter brads, ribbon & a ribbon rose.

For my 2nd ATC I stitched around the edge of the ATC using my sewing machine. I have to say that unfortunately 3 other ATCs went in the bin trying to get the stitching right. I think next time I will probably stitch by hand & use a colour that can actually be seen :-( For this one I used the gorgeous Rosaline Bunny. I added 2 sequin flowers with gem centres. I then added a "HUGS" brad.

Don't forget our challenge that runs through to the 1st April xx Clare

Card For Bro

My little brother out in Australia turned 30 yesterday so I made him this fab card from a sheet I bought at Crafts U Print. It is designed as an 18th or 21st but I cheated by turning the number into a badge. I printed out 2 sheets & cut out layering the parrots. I added a Happy Birthday banner to the front.

On the inside I added the 3 cocktail glasses. Then I cut out the parrots from the 2nd sheet & turned the leftover rectangle into a space to write the message. To make the badge I simply cut out the 18, fed through my laminator & added a safety pin to the back xx Clare x
