Another Challenge Combo

I have managed to create another combo card. This time it covers Pollycraft, A Spoon Full of Sugar & Stamps and Smiles SASSC8. Here is the card......I have used the sketch from Stamps & Smiles. The papers are from Papermania Easter pad. The centre panel is from my stash, which I put through my bug using my swirls folder. The image is Phoebe & Maude from Pollycraft. The flowers are Prima & I have added a Dovecraft charm to the centre. The eggs are from my stash.I struggled to get a decent photo of the inside of the card. I think next time I will make sure I use a side-opening card instead. The Easter fun is again from my stash. I have followed the sketch through to the inside of the card & added the egg.

Jazz It Up... CCS & ABC Challenge

Well I was lucky enough to be able to get this card to cover 2 challenges this week. At CCS this month Hetty set a sketch challenge with the theme All that Jazz. Well I have been stumped for about 3 weeks when I was rearranging my stock & came across the perfect decoupage sheet. Then over at ABC Challenge we have managed to get up to G...... it could only be one thing...... Glitter. My fave lol!!!! So here's the card........
I used a sheet of doublesided cardstock from my stock, & placed one face up & the other face down. The sticky ribbon is from Papermania Simply Elegant range.I ran it through my cuttlebug using a Spellbinders Piercerabilities. I used a scrap of doublesided cardstock to layer the decoupage onto. This decoupage is gorgeous but an absolute pain to cut round the feathers on her hat. Again this is available on my website. I added Stardust Sparklies to the bottom of the green dress. To make the little panel in the corner I cut 2 pieces of cardstock. The bottom piece was attached with tape, the top piece with foam pads. I coloured in silver peel offs with an OHP pen & attached Papermania Shimmer Dots. The tassle is something I picked up from the Brighton show. The little embellishments at the bottom are from a Papermania Embellishment set.For the inside of the card I used the same cardstock & ribbon from the front of the card. Using my Fiskars punch & emboss corner punch.

Family Affair - CCT Challenge

Over at CCT this week they want you to create a card for a member of your family. So this card has been created for my Aunt's partner. The image is King Cat from Whipper Snapper Designs. I just adore these stamps. I have coloured him in as usual using a combination of Tombow, Marvy Le Plume & Whispers pens. I decided to stamp him on glossy card which has given a fur-like look to his body. I added gems from my stash to his crown just for that bit of "bling". He has been layered onto ivory pearlescent paper. The main papers are from the Simply Elegant range by Papermania. The flourish is from the Static Collection by Crate Paper & the Bday & petals are from Memories Complete. I added a small tag to the bottom. On the inside of the card I have used the same paper but rotated it 180 degrees. The pearlescent paper is from my stash & the petals & circle from Memories Complete.

Pens Used
Tombow N55
Marvy Le Plume 16
Whispers Blue, Purple, Red, Green, Yellow
For Mother's Day, I again thought I would have a go at something I had never tried before, so I made my MIL an altered book. As a keen birdwatcher & photographer, I decided to make her a Bird Journal for recording her sightings. I tried to keep it quite simple so I bought a sketch book with a watercolour canvas cover. I printed off 4 sheets of bird paper which were a freebie over at FunkyFairyInspirations. On the cover I used a Papermania corner stamp. The inside of the front cover has a kingfisher peel off. I stamped each right hand page with a Happy Birdie stamp from Cuddly Buddly xx Here is the book.......

Time for Something Different

My kind husband a week ago asked me if I fancied doing some button holes for a work colleague who had a funeral to attend in Jamaica. I had 2 days to get them done in......& I've never made a button hole before...... Well as I am always up for a challenge I said "Yes". I used silk roses, white flowers & a mixture of leaves & buds with leaves. Here is the result.....
I am really pleased with the way these have come out & I am seriously tempted at having another go at them to sell on my craft stall when I do my shows xx

Challenge Combo

Wow I have managed to make a card that covers four challenges xx I could not believe how well they have all combined together. The sketch is from Sketch Saturday, A Spoon Full of Sugar wanted you to add Gems, Daisy & Dandelion wanted a Thank You card & Secret Crafter asked for your favourite colour scheme which happens to be Brown. So here is my card................
I am so pleased with the way this card turned out. The papers & decoupage are all from Daisy & Dandelion. The flowers are from the Daisy paper that I have sat & cut out. The thank you sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, which I added gold liquid pearls to & layered onto a flower from my stash. I used my Tombow to colour in the butterfly. I added Platinum Stickles to the centre of the large daisy & gems from my stash to the centres of the small ones.
The centre of the card did start off with me following the sketch but it didn't finish that way. Again the papers are the same as on the front of the card. The white paper was punched with my Fiskars corner punch.(Sorry about the quality of the photo). xx

Secret Crafter & Sketch Saturday Combo

Wow what a brilliant combo this turned out to be especially as it meant I could play with my new Dandelion & Daisy goodies that I got at the weekend xx Over at Sketch Saturday this weeks sketch really had my head whirring. I got most of the papers sorted but just one panel had me rooting for ages trying to find the right piece to complete it. Secret crafter gave me the perfect excuse to break into my Marshmallow & Candyfloss Decoupage set as they want a cake to feature somewhere on the card. So here it is.......The papers used on the card are from my Daisy & Dandelion pad, Craft Creations & Crate Paper. The green daisy paper has been punched using my Fiskars border punch. The decoupage is from the Daisy & Dandelion range. I just adore these & can't wait to get some more. The flowers are from my stash & the sentiment stamp is from Cuddly Buddly.

On the inside of the card I have pretty much used the same sketch as the front. The sentiment & flower stamps are from Papermania.

Pollycraft Challenge... Lynsey's Sketch

This weeks challenge on Pollycraft is Lynsey's Sketch. This was a great sketch to try as the design allowed me to experiment with a mixture of colours. And here is the result.......
I have used HOTP & Daisy & Dandelion papers. The picture is Phoebe holding a plant. I have used a Cuddly Buddly sentiment stamp which I coloured with Tombow 623 & Whispers Bright Red. The sequin flowers & gems were from my stash. The inside of the card I used again the HOTP & Daisy & Dandelion papers. I then took my new Papermania stamp & removed it from its wooden block. Using my tombow 623 I coloured in part of the stamp. I think this gives a nice effect.

Secret Crafter Challenge.......

... Transport. Luckily I had a birthday card to do for one of hubby's work colleagues.
The base paper is by Crate Paper & is part of the Static Collection. This sheet is called Tight. I used a strip of maroon card with 2 black brads from my stash. The brown paper is from Simply Elegant by Papermania. The stamped image is Biker from Artstamps & was coloured in using my Black Whispers Dual Tip Marker & Marvy Le Plume No.65 Cherry. The 2 circle discs were in my stash.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

This week's challenge is one that really takes me out of my comfort zone as I am not very good when it comes to sketches with more than 3 layers, but I pushed myself into it lol!!! This card has been made for a friend's birthday xx
The base paper is a cream hammer effect paper from my stash. The pale brown & purple layers are both from the Hydrangea Range by K&Co. I just love these papers but have a habit of forgetting about them. The brown flower paper is from the Simply Elegant Range by Papermania. I used my swiss dots folder to emboss the lilac backing for the sheep image that I downloaded. The Lazy Days was done is PSP. The flower & gems were from my stash.
I have kept the inside of the card fairly simple by layering the creme & pale brown papers in the centre of the card & have added a sheep.

Thank You Sam

I have been so slack recently which is terrible but I received this award a few weeks ago from Sam at Cardstitching.co.uk xx I apologise for taking so long to post it. Thanks hun, it really makes my day to receive an award xx

I would like to pass this award to the following people....
