Olive's Birthday

I made this card for my niece a few weeks ago but it has only just made it to Australia this week, so I can finally blog it :-) Olive turned 1 on the 13th July. I needed to try & get a combination of pretty but not too fancy to keep the postage costs down. Here is what I came up with.....

I used this gorgeous image from Pollycraft & coloured her using a mixture of Promarkers & Mirage pens. I added Pearl Wands to her flowers & shoe buckles.

Here is a close up of the image. I think she is just great :-) The papers are K&Co & Core'dinations. I added some lace, Prima Flower, Organza Ribbon & Craft Candi. The number 1 was cut with my sizzix die x Clare x

10 Years

Good morning from a very hot & sunny Essex. Didn't get much sleep last night because of 2 thunderstorms but I am determind it won't slow me down today.

Yesterday was my 10th Wedding Anniversary & I was not going to let it slip by without hubby getting a handmade card. I am hoping that it will kick the mojo in to gear :-)

I started off planning on using Sketch #45 at Sketch N Stash but it ended up looking fairly different lol!! I used a Sweet Pea Stamps image & coloured with Promarkers. Added some Vintage Photo Distress Inks around the edges. The bp is from Prima & the hearts were cut from Studio Calico. I added a heart brad to hold the corner of paper in place. Sentiments were from a HOTP paper pad which has been lounging in a drawer for way too long :-) x Clare x

Wow, nearly 4 months have passed since I last blogged. Well I do have a bit of an excuse. Zombie 16!!

My son's best friend is 16 on Saturday & loves his Zombies. I made him a fab card last year & have struggled to find something that comes close. I then popped over to Stamps by Aurora Wings & found this amazing image!!!

She's called Zombie Kitty :-) I love colouring her in. I used the sketch over at Seems A Little Sketchy. I added some Crystal Lacquer to the blood on her bib. Here is a closeup of  her.

The papers are all Crate Paper. The base layer has been embossed with Skulls. I added these cute skeletons which were on an elastic bracelet that I strung on to Jute. Again I have kept the inside fairly simple so haven't worried about taking pics x Clare x

Cheeeky!!!!

This card is being sent to my Uncle who has been poorly over the past week & was admitted to hospital at the weekend.

I have used the cheeky greeting by Redonkadoodles & coloured with my Promarkers. I used last week's sketch by SSW2 (yes I am running a bit late lol). The papers are WRMK Hall Pass.

I have taken the sketch through to the inside using the same papers. Tomorrow I will hopefully be back with a 16th birthday card for a family friend x Clare x

Spring is finally here

Finally the rains have stopped & the Spring weather has arrived :-) My 2014 shows have now begun & it is definitely going to be a busy year.  Today I have managed to get a Mother's Day card made for a Farmer's Market next week.

I have used the sketch from Sketch N Stash. They are always the first place I turn to when needing a sketch.  The image is a freebie I found on my computer & I have coloured with Promarkers. I edged with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.

 The papers are all We R Memory Keepers. I added a daisy trim, flatback pearls & a ribbon.  The sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly, stamped with Memento & layered with Spellbinders. I left the inside of the card pretty simple so didn't worry about photographing x Clare
