Princess Card

Well we are heading into the last bank holiday for a while & the sun seems to know & has done a disappearing act too. But never mind...it's a perfect excuse to do some crafting.

Here is my latest card for Craftycat. Tracy has the most gorgeous Princess Paper Piecing images on the Fantasty Fairytale Paper Piecing cd. I decided to go for the pretty yellow version.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday but didn't get my card blogged in time so I have missed that challenge. However I'm not too fussed as the sketch is gorgeous & I know I will be reaching for it again. As I said I decided to go for the yellow Princess & I teamed her with the brown eyes & brown hair. I also chose the tiara instead of the hat. Here is a closer look at the Princess

Don't forget you still have until tonight to enter the OSAAT challenge this week & I will be back tomorrow with the new OSAAT challenge xx Clare x

A Little Late......... MAWTT#48

Good morning everyone all be it a day late. This week it was Heidi's turn to choose the challenge & she decided to go for a theme this week rather than a sketch. So the theme this week is Fancy Folds. We have some very good friends of mine sponsoring us this week......Stitchy & Hope Jacare from Stitchy Bear Stamps. If you hurry over to the shop you will catch the last few days of their 50% sale which ends on Monday!!

Well I have to say I had a complete nightmare getting this card made this week!!!! I knew exactly what I wanted to do but it just kept going wrong. Firstly I spent an hour colouring the image only to finish it & decide I didn't like the shades of the colours I had used & that I felt the image was too small. Then I made up the card ready to put the image on only to discover the image was too big!!! So I had to create half a card so I'm afraid there are no real fancy folds on my card.
I coloured my image in using Copics & my gold marker pen. The layout of my card was meant to be using the Joy Fold which I discovered earlier on in the week while commenting on some cards. Here is a closer look at the image I have used

I found some gorgeous oriental paper that I had bought at a show a couple of years ago hidden in a drawer so I added this to the inside of my card along with some Kate Knight papers that I really should use more often.

Don't forget that you have until 8pm Wednesday 2nd June to enter your card into this challenge. I will be back tomorrow with another card for Craftycat xx Clare x

Rak & VDub

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all recovering from the sunburn that you got at the weekend here in the UK. I know mine is finally beginning to subside from Sunday.
Before I show you my latest card I would just like to say a big thank you to Ruby. I won her blog candy last week & she sent me this wonderful wobbler card with it. If you haven't been over to her blog you can find it here

I have been creating for my upcoming Volksfest show in August & found this great VDub sheet over at Craft U Print. I printed it out in A4 then A5 & created these 2 projects with them

In the front of the picture you can see the easel card I created. I used the A5 sheet to create this, cutting round the image, adding the ribbon strip, sentiment & flowers. I also used some HOTP paper for the background. On the main image I added 4 pink gems.

To make the window hanger, I cut round the main image on the A4 sheet, cut round the word "Love", added 2 flowers from the A5 sheet & laminated. I then punched 2 holes through the flowers to add the rubber suckers.
Don't forget you have until 8pm tonight to enter Hazel's Challenge over at MAWTT & I will be back tomorrow with this week's DT card xx Clare x

Card for Craftycat

I have done something different this time for my card for Craftycat. I decided I would show you how to combine different images from 2 cds. On the front of the card I have used Peeking Boy Bunny.

I had a few issues getting a decent piccy of the card as the light kept reflecting off the acetate but I think you get the general idea. I cut the aperture with my rectangle Nellies & placed the acetate behind it. Below is a piccy of the front of the card showing the inside of the card

On the inside of the card I have used one of the texture hearts from the Valentines cd. x Clare

Incy Wincy Challenge # 42 - Blast From The Past

Welcome everyone to this week's challenge at Incy Wincy Designs where we want to see you all "Getting on down" & "Going with the flow" with your "Blast from the Past" lol!!! We are this week being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs

We were lucky enough to get an image each to create our cards & I got the Rock'n'Roll girl to play with.

I had great fun being able to play with the colours on this image. The flowers were from the back of the MME Spring Blooms paper stack & I cut different parts of them out to create this effect in the corner. I am thinking though they maybe need some gems in their centres so I might add these later.

Here is a closer look at the image. As you can see I have distressed the papers using sandpaper. Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day & I will be back soon x Clare x

OSAAT Challenge #13 - Anything But A Card

Well this has been a busy weekend again!!! Yesterday was FA Cup Final day here in the UK so I had to get all my jobs done in the morning so I could watch the match on the TV!!! Well worth it though as Chelsea won, which means they have won the Double for the first time in their history!!!! This morning while the weather was fine I headed off to the car boot. Unfortunately sales were slow but we made a profit so not too bad...
Right onto this week's challenge. We are being sponsored by Steph at Glitterbabe & you can find her creations here I used the image Cute Kitty for the box I created. I was meant to take a before & after photo but never mind. Here is the finished box...

I used an old cotton bud box & covered it in textured paper. I added sequin flowers down both sides & around the base. The lid is edged with ribbon. The image was coloured with a mixture of pens & the bow glittered with Stickles. Here is another view of the box

Enjoy the rest of your weekend & I will be back tomorrow with another creation for Incy Wincy Designs xx Clare x

I was unsure at first what image I was going to use but then I remembered that I had got in a couple of fab stamps for the shop & decided I would create my card using that.

I have got a few new shades of Promarkers in over the last couple of weeks & decided to experiment with the hair colour a bit. I am not entirely satisfied with the result but will persevere. Here is a closer look at the image

Incy Wincy Challenge # 41 - Colour Challenge/Photo Inspiration

Well we are at the start of another week here in Essex & I am pleased to say the sun is shining. Now before I go any further today I have to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to 2 very different sets of people that have a huge part of my life. Firstly a big CONGRATS to my brother Bryan & his lovely wife Fee who are in Australia expecting their 1st baby. I hope everything goes smoothly for you both & I can't wait to see the scan piccies. Secondly, a massive CONGRATS to my other love.... CHELSEA FC who won the Premier League yesterday. It feels like it has been a very long season but well done & fingers crossed for the FA Cup on Saturday.Right onto some crafting now.... The challenge over at Incy Wincy Designs this week is to use this picture as your Inspiration for your card.

The colours we would like to see used are Mint, Chocolate & Cream.

The DT were provided with images from this week's sponsor who isHere is the card that I created

I found this great paper in a set of freebies from a magazine which meant that the card didn't really need too much else added to it. I coloured the image with Promarkers & then 3d'd it to give some dimension. The roses were added to give the "cream" & I added a bit of bling to the flower centres on the paper. I made the bow & added a flower to the centre.

Here is a closer look at the image. I just love the look on the little boy's face. Don't forget to have a look at the other cards created by the DT & if you have time please leave a comment on their cards as they are all greatly appreciated xx Clare x

OSAAT Challenge #12 - Polka Dots

Well I am hoping that I have done this right & this is posting while I am out today doing a show. The challenge this week over at OSAAT is for you to use Spots & Dots on your cards. The girls at Stitchy Bear Stamps & Creative World have provided the images for the DT & will be providing the prizes.

Don't forget if you like any of the images I use from Stitchy Bear Stamps, they are having a massive 50% sale store wide throughout the whole of May.

Right onto my card...
.
Aren't these cakes just so scrummy? I have coloured using mainly copics, paper pieced the cake cases & added Liquid Pearls to the icing & cherries. Here is a closer look just in case you need tempting even more lol!!!!

Now I do have a small confession to make about this card. When I list the pens I have used you will see a lot of pinks listed that you can't actually see. Well I coloured the stand & all the hearts around the edge in pinks & just found it way too sickly so I covered them all in Lipstick Red instead!!!!! xx Clare x

Craftycat DT Card

Hi Everyone

This card was meant to have been posted last week but my email to Tracy with the card on seemed to float off into cyberspace somewhere & we only realised this week. So this was my 2nd creation for April & I have again used images from Tracy's new Pondlife cd.

I have used 3 different pages from the cd...the little boy, the pond & fish, and the bugs. Hubby came up with the idea of using the wooden coffee stirrers as a sort of decking. xx Clare x
