Evening Everyone. I hope that you are all well. We have had some lovely sunshine over the last few days but we are back to rain again this evening :-(
It is a busy month for birthdays, & our Best Man was 30 at the weekend. We popped over to his with his card & a Moussaka that I cooked him & his lovely fiancée. Anyhoos here is the card I made him :-)
I based my card around a sketch I found but then at the last minute changed it slightly. The papers are all freebies again. The image was coloured using Promarkers & I added some Distress Inks around the image. x Clare x

Summer Fun

Well in July I think we managed a few days of Summer so it inspired me to make this card. Again it is another birthday card. They seem to come thick & fast around this time of year :-)

I am not generally an ice-cream colour person but thought I would try it for a change & I'm pretty pleased with the way things turned out.

 The image was paper pieced using some freebie papers I downloaded & coloured with the usual Promarkers :-)

I took the papers through to the inside of the card & added a little tag in the centre. x Clare x

Mum's Card

Morning Everyone. Yesterday was my Mum's Birthday so I can finally post up the card I made her :-)

I just fell in love with this image the moment I saw it & knew I had to have it lol!! Isn't he fabulous? I coloured him with Promarkers & used Distress Ink around the edge. I then layered on to these gorgeous Nitwit papers that came in a magazine. I added a bit of lace & these metal brads that I picked up the other day.

The sentiment was stamped onto the same paper & I again added Distress Ink to the edges. The only thing that is missing is some gems, but I had to finish my card away from home & it was the only thing I forgot to bring with me :-( x Clare x

Birthday Card 2

Good Morning all my lovely followers. I really had a productive day yesterday & managed to get this card finished late last night :-) This is another birthday card from the ongoing order.

I just adore this little Mouse from Robyn's Fetish. I really should use him a lot more than I do. He has been coloured with Promarkers & I added some Distress Ink around the edge. Here is a closer look at the image.

I added some Faux Stitching to the sentiment & I found these cute ladybird rub ons in a drawer so decided to add them in the corner. I then decided to carry the ladybird theme through the rest of the card.

I would never have normally put pink, blue & red together like this, but I think they work well x Clare x

Birthday Card

Well, I can't believe how slack I have been at blogging this year :-( I am desperately trying to get my new craft room decorated so I can try & get a bit more organised with my time & get back to enjoying my crafting, rather than dodging muddy paw prints & wet fur lol!! But today I have actually got a card made. It is part of a large order that I have running over the year :-)

I have used the sketch at Friday Sketch Challenge. I used 2 papers from last month's Simply Homemade magazine. Image with coloured with Promarkers. Here is a close up of the image.

I took the papers through to the inside of the card but left it fairly simple as the card will be posted out.
