Mother's & Daughter's Sketch Challenge

Found a great blog the other day called Mothers and Daughters Creations. They run card & scrapbook challenges. I have created a card for this weeks card challenge which is for a lovely sketch. Here is what I did ..........

I am just so in love with this mouse that I got from Sammy Murphy at www.scrapbookingmad.com The backing paper is also from her set. The ribbon is from last year's stash & the Ho! Ho! Ho! brad is from Papermania. I have added glitter glue to the snow on the chimney xx

Secret Crafter Challenge #5

This is the last of the challenge cards for today. This one has been a nightmare to make as the circle of snowflakes took forever to cut on the robo as it kept shutting itself down. But I got there in the end. The challenge was a sketch with a twist. You had to use the colours pink, brown & white. Here is the result.....
The card base is Papermania's silk screen card in Royal Metallic. The brown card is from my stash which I stitched stars onto using a pattern from Sam's site Cardstitching.co.uk. The snowflakes were cut out of white card stock on the robo using a template from UKScrappers. The ribbon is from my stash. Last but not least the adorable little mouse is created by Samantha Murphy at www.scrapbookingmad.com xx

4 Challenges....... 2 Cards

I could not believe my luck yesterday when I had a look at the Challenge Blogs. Cute Card Thursdays Challenge was Angels or Fairies. Well, the Fairie Poppetts had to come out of the folder.... I don't do Fairy Cards very often but when I do I go to town on them. I was able to combine it with the sketch Challenge on A Spoon Full of Sugar. It just worked perfectly, & to finish it off the ABC Challenge was Pink. Well here is the result.........The base of the card is just white cardstock from my stash. Layered onto this is Papermania's Silk Screened Paper (sorry don't know the name of this one). You can't really pick it up but the next layer is Papermania's Spring Floral glitter embossed vellum. The sticky ribbon's are again from Papermania & are from the Floral Collection. I have repeated the layers on the rectangles as well. The Fairie Poppett has been decoupaged & glittered & I have added 3 flat pearls from my stash.
The 2nd card I made last night was for the Sketch Saturday Challenge #23.

Again I have used white cardstock to form the base of this card & used some Xmas tree paper from Dovecraft. The gold & green cardstock are Bazill 12x12 cardstock from my stash. The ribbon is from Papermania. The spirelli topper I made myself from gold glitter card & red thread. The doggie is from my stash which has been decoupaged xx

My Entries for Design Team Call

Last week Funkyfairyinspirations had a DT Call. The lucky "Fairy's" who were chosen were Sarah, Lana & Lesley. Congrats Girls. So I thought I ought to show you all my creations for the Challenge. We had to create 3 items using Funkyfairy products & I chose 3 free downloads. The 1st card is using . I got hubby to adapt a craft robo template for me so I could create a door aperture card. This is my 1st attempt at one of these. I wanted the illusion that you are stood indoors & looking out into the night. The door handle, keyhole & strip across the top of the letterbox are created with leftover bits of peel off. The Poinsetta is a 3d sticker that I got in a QVC kit about 2 years ago. The back of the door is the door aperture cut again in different colourd card & I sandwiched a piece of acetate between the 2 pieces to create the glass in the window. The letterbox was a piece of gold card sandwiched between the front & back of the door. Harry the Reindeer was decoupaged onto the inside of the card.
The 2nd item I created was a box using the Little Boy & Blue Xmas downloads. The Blue Xmas paper was printed onto cardstock & scored using my UCC. I decoupaged the Little Boy & secured him to the top of the box. I glittered the pompom on his hat & used a Turn Styles snowflake in the top corner.
The last card I made was using the Little Girl download.
The card is white cardstock & I cut a snowflake circle on my robo using a template that I downloaded from UKScrappers. This was cut on Aqua Sparkle paper from Inspire Me Papers. The little girl was then decoupaged, glittered & added to the corner of the card. A simple Merry Christmas peel off was then added to the centre.
