Sweet Spring

Isn't this bunny just the cutest? I am really making the effort to use my stash that has been neglected. I found this cute bunny in a folder on my computer. Not even sure where it has come from, so if you know the designer I would love to be able to give them credit.

I have again coloured my image using my Promarker pens & I tried out the dot technique on the background.  Like my bunny from last week, I have added it to these gorgeous Prima Sun Kiss papers with a hint of WRMK Baby Mine. I didn't really need to add much more except a few gems, a lovely blue organza ribbon & the birthday sentiment.

Girly Chic

I have used this gorgeous kit from ClipArt Fairy before, but it was perfect for another birthday card I needed to make.

I printed both layers onto card & cut round. I then layered onto an 8x8 base card. I added a touch of WOS to her lips & nails & Stickles to her jewellery. A white organza bow & some Bling flat backed pearls were all that was needed to finish off the main image. I added some newly purchased Fran-tage to the corners of the card which has just brought everything together.

For the inside of the card, I printed off the base layer with sentiment onto paper & added some more Fran-tage to the corners x Clare x

Sparkly 18th

Another card that has winged it's way up North is for my friend's 18th Birthday. This card was a total experiment for me in regards to decorating the shoe. I had originally considered doing the whole shoe in gems, then changed my mind.

I used a previous sketch from SSW2 for the layout. The image is from Crafters Companion & is just so cute. I coloured with Promarkers & edged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink. I added white & clear WOK to the streamers & the base & heel of the shoe. The top half of the shoe was covered with Red Stickles. It really created a lovely glittery shoe. I then added 2 different sized gems to the bow. The papers are Vintage Charm from MME & I just finished the card off with gems & organza ribbon.
I took the main layout through to the inside of the card using the same papers as on the front. x Clare x

Racing Dream

This is another card using the wonderful La Pashe decoupage sheets. I tend to make a lot more mens cards each year than I do ladies. I must admit I find them slightly easier to do as I am not really a pink person.

This card is using the Silver Racer decoupage sheet & I have teamed it with this funky striped paper from MME Sunny. To finish it off I have again stamped the Happy Birthday using the CC stamp. x Clare x

Spring Bunny

This is my 2nd card of the month, also the 2nd card to go to my friend up in Barnoldswick :-) I found this cute bunny stamp in the back of my stamp stash & decided it really needed to be used.

I coloured with Promarker & Mirage pens. I used these gorgeous papers from the Prima Sun Kiss A4 paper stack. The corners & butterflies were cut from some new dies that I have treated myself to & I sparkled them up using WOS & Stickles. I then diecut the friends sentiment & added lots more stickles. I layered the card up using a previous sketch from SSW2 x Clare x

First Blogging of 2015!!

I hope you all had a lovely end to 2014 & an easy but cold start to 2015 :-) I have finally had chance to get some birthday cards done for this month as I have a rush of birthdays all at the same time. This first card has been made for my best friend's son. I can' believe he was 25 this year!!

I have used this cute Crafter's Companion stamp & coloured him in using a mix of Mirage & Promarker pens. The papers are a mixture of Nitwit & Mosaic Memories. I added a few gems & a stitched ribbon. The sentiment is also from CC x Clare x

Chilled

OMG!! Where has 2014 gone? I can't believe we are heading into November next week! I'm pretty sure the days are speeding up as I get older lol!!

My card today is another December birthday card for one of hubby's colleagues. He is the most layed back bloke you can meet, so this image was just too good to miss :-)

I found a new sketch challenge called Digi Sketch Challenge & followed the sketch after I rotated it. I have used this gorgeous digistamp by La Pashewhich I coloured using my Promarkers. The edges were distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I used this fab paper from Micheal's Mosaic Memories. The sentiment I created in word & printed onto Kraft Card. x Clare x

Silver Machine for Ed

Hello :-) Today I have the 1st of my overlap cards between my 2 blogs. This is a birthday card I have made for one of hubby's work colleagues. His birthday isn't until December but I am trying to get ahead of myself before I get into Christmas Fair mode.

I followed this week's sketch over at Sketch Saturday as it was perfect for a man's card. I have used the Silver Machine decoupage sheet by La Pashe, which is now available in my shop. I layered it onto Crate Paper Random & Studio Calico Sundrifter papers. I stamped the sentiment using Stazon onto Kraft card & cut into a tag. x Clare x

Sweet Birthday

I have decided to now use this blog for any personal cards that I make & to use my blog linked to my website www.threadbarecrafts.com for any cards that I make as samples or stock. I am at a point now where I really want to keep them as seperated as possible. There may occassionally be an overlap but not very often. So here is today's card.

I have used this sweet image from Pollycraft & coloured her with Promarkers & Mirage pens. I am really beginning to like these new pens & will be adding to my collection soon. I have added some white WOS to the spots on her cossie & also to the shell in her hair.

The papers are a mix of Core'dination, Mambi, Nitwits & a freebie from Papercraft Essentials. To finish it off I added flat backed pearls, organza ribbon, & the fab sentiment from Craft Creations. x Clare x

G'Day Mate

Been a bit busy with work so the creating stood still again over the last couple of weeks ;-( But I have finally managed to complete another Xmas card. This time this great Santa image came from Make It Crafty.

I coloured him with Promarkers & using last week's sketch from SSW2. Unfortunately I won't get to enter it into their challenge. I layered it onto AC Cardstock & Dovecraft BTB Vintage Christmas. I added red gingham ribbon, gems & this great sentiment from Craft Creations x Clare x

Wedding Card

This is another commission for a new customer & I thought it was about time my poor Morehead stamp was allowed out of the drawer.

I coloured the image with Promarkers & added some clear WOS to the bride's veil & dress. Here is a closeup of the image.
I used these gorgeous papers from the WRMK Antique Chic collection & added some lace, organza, a heart embellishment & some Bling Flat Backed Pearls. For the inside of the card I again pulled out an item that has been neglected in my drawer.
The inside was left fairly plain as the card needed to be posted & I didn't want to add any extra weight. The die used for the centre is a Sizzix Ornate die that has sadly been unused since I bought it x Clare x

A bit Minor

Depending on the weather I could be doing my last car show of the year so I need to get a few cards made up ready for the weekend. This one features a Morris Minor decoupage sheet from La Pashe that has been sat in a drawer waiting to be used.
This week at Sketch Saturday you get to choose the sketch you want to use from previous weeks so I chose #225. I teamed the image with Recollections Mosaic Memories & Gorjuss Girl papers. They are backed on to Regal Blue Centura Pearl card. To finish it off I added 2 black gems.

I kept the inside pretty simple, just replicating the front using the same papers. x Clare x

Cheeky Get Well

I was asked by a colleague of hubby's to make a card for a family member who was recovering from an operation. I was told, female card, funny rather than flowers. So why not have flowers & funny? Here is the result.

I am not one for girly colours, but I am loving this combo of purple & yellow. I used my Trim 'n' Score to emboss the edges of the flaps.  I got hubby to do the sentiment for me using a font called Harrington.

I photoshopped the image so I could create a page of flowers to colour using Lilac & Lavender Promarkers & the Blender pen. I am hoping to do a tutorial for this soon.
The image on the inside is one of my favourite images from Redonkadoodles. It always makes me smile when I print it out.

I have coloured it with Promarkers & using 3 layers created a 3D image. Added some more flowers to the inside of the card. x Clare x

Surfy Santa

Good evening everyone. Bit late with my blog post tonight. Been a busy computer day. I have been making another sunny Christmas card today using another great Bugaboo image :-) This one is Santa with his surf board.

I followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday & coloured Santa in using Promarkers. I added some Silver Ice Stickles to his hat. I then layered onto this fab snowflake paper from MME's Oh Christmas Tree from 2010. Added a sentiment, gems & twine to complete.

On the inside of the card I have tried to make Santa look like he was holding the message space in the middle, but I am not quite convinced I have it 100% right. Will have a slightly better idea when I have another go at this again x Clare x

Prima Beetle

Well I am certainly on a roll this week :-) Today I have a card for you that I have made using some gorgeous Prima papers that are now in stock.

I coloured the Beetle stamp using Promarkers & edged with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I layered onto chocolate brown cardstock & Prima Time Traveller papers.

The tickets across the bottom of the card were also cut from one of the papers. I printed the sentiment onto Kraft Card & edged with Distress Ink. I then added Craft Candi & Bling Flat Backed Pearls.
I used the same papers on the inside of the card & just centralised everything. x Clare x

Christmas Oasis

This is not something I have done before. In the past I have made pretty traditional Christmas cards, but this time I thought I would try something new.

I got this great image from Bugaboo & coloured him with Promarkers. Then using the sketch from SSW2 I matted & layered the card using MME Lost & Found papers. I added gems, ribbon & this cute Christmas bells charm.
The ticket I found on a site called The Beary Scrap Papercrafting Blog. I edged the ticket, as well as Santa's hat & pom pom with Silver Ice Stickles.

I used the same papers on the inside of the card & again added some of the red stitched ribbon x Clare x

Craft Room Update

Well I have been in my little craft room for a while now. There were still a few bits & pieces that weren't originally finished like the floor & windows. Last weekend the floor was finished, so I decided that last week would be the perfect time to have a bit of a sort out & update.

We decided to move the sofa bed out of the corner to free up a bit more space. Works well where it is now, as we discovered after having to use it for 2 nights. An extra bookcase has been added in the corner to house my magazines. This freed up the large cupboard in the sideboard.

I now have my table permanately out & have been able to get my sewing machine out of it's box. Hoping I will use it a bit more now. Another new bookcase has been added & we have removed the large brown desk that was in this corner.

I have moved all my daily use craft bits to one side of my desk which has freed up some much needed space.

I have blinds on the window!!! I can't believe how much difference these sheer blinds have made. We have added 3 so I can alter them as the sun moves across my window.

Tomorrow I will be back with another card that I have made x Clare x

Canadian Wedding

This card was made for an order & has been taken on a plane out to Canada. The wedding was yesterday so I am hoping it is safe to upload now.

I followed a previous sketch from Sketch N Stash & used this gorgeous decoupage sheet from Craft Creations called Wedding Day. I added some Clear WOS to the veil & edge of the dress.I matted it onto papers from Crate Paper & Mambi & the base card is Centura Pearl.

The die is from Impression Obsession & just cut from white card, with some more WOS added. Bling flat backed pearls have been added to the bottom corner & round the circular mat in the centre.

To finish the inside I added a layer of the bonus pyramid decoupage to the inside of the card. x Clare x

Mum's Birthday

We are having a spate of birthdays at the moment & this time it was my Mum's. I decided to try something different this time & use some pastel colours. Mum was thrilled with her card when she got it :-)
I started off by using a sketch that I had seen on Pinterest & it quickly took on it's own form. The papers are a mix of Crate Paper, Core'dinations & Pebbles. The owl is by Hearty Crafts. I added peach Pearl wands to the flowers.
I kept the inside fairly simple but think I may have to use this layout as a card front some time as I really like the effect. x Clare x
